What exactly is VH1's format? Is it CHR/Pop, Hot AC, Alternative, AAA or a mixture of the four? I think it is an odd mixture.iAnd where on CHR/POP are Velvet Revolver, Joss Stone, Keane, Green Day and Jamie Cullum
Here is VH1's latest top 20
1. Maroon 5 "She Will Be Loved" 2. Switchfoot "Dare You to Move" 3. Black Eyed Peas "Let's Get It Started" 4. Linkin Park "Breaking the Habit" 5. Bowling for Soup "1985" 6. Velvet Revolver "Fall to Pieces" 7. Ryan Cabrera "On the Way Down" 8. Joss Stone "You Had Me" 9. Seether featuring Amy Lee "Broken" 10. Usher and Alicia Keys "My Boo" 11. Keane "Somewhere Only We Know" 12. Finger Eleven "One Thing" 13. Green Day "American Idiot" 14. Nelly featuring Jaheim "My Place" 15. Ashlee Simpson "Shadow" 16. The Killers "Somebody Told Me" 17. Avril Lavigne "My Happy Ending" 18. Jamie Cullum "Frontin' Live @ vh1.com" 19. Britney Spears "My Prerogative" 20. Gwen Stefani "What You Waiting For"

Dvorak, VH1's chart is based on radio airplay (all formats I assume, not just CHR-Pop), CD sales, VH1 spins, and fan-mail and messageboard votes.
Joss Stone was #49 on the latest Pop chart.
Let's not forget the droppers and plunge/leap of the week.
Falling off the Chart Open Your Eyes (LW #19)
Leap of the Week: My Boo (17-10) Plunge of the Week: My Place (6-14)
She Will Be Loved is spending its 6th week at #1. Let's Get It Started spent 2 weeks at #1.

I would call VH1 Hot AC leaning with pop thrown in.

I agree with Chebingeo, but the Vh1 chart does also play occasional dance (Gwen's new track kind of, Kylie Minogue), country (Shani Twain, mostly), and some rap (Eminem being the only one I can think of at the moment. Other than that, Vh1 is mostly just Alternative, Pop, and Hot AC.
Meanwhile, I got satellite some 4 months ago and I miss my Vh1!!! :'(
