Good for Keysh for not flopping! I was kinda worried but she has proven herself to be a steady seller with a strong fanbase.

Keyshia Cole continues to inch back up the charts, landing at No. 16 and moving 54,050 copies of her sophomore album Just Like You. Cole's 14-week sales total stands at 940,680.

I'm glad she made it to Platinum. That cut, I Remember, I'm feeling moreso for its arrangement and the catchy hook than for the lyrical content. She's holding it down.

JUNO RULES THE CHARTS: Rhino’s surprise hit Juno soundtrack will leap back into the top slot on next week’s HITS album chart, with between 65-70k, thanks to this week’s Oscar noms. Now, that may not be much by absolute standards, but on a week like the one we're living through, it'll probably be enough to top J’s Alicia Keys (55-60k) and Geffen’s Mary J. Blige, who will duel with tbd/ATO/RED’s Radiohead for #3, both projecting in the 40-45k range. The week’s top debut, Epic’s Natasha Bedingfield, will bow at #5 with a similar total. HITS placed her in the Top 10 for the past few weeks, but she always ends up at #11-12 on Billboard. :(

In an interview to sohh.com she said Geffen wants a new album in stores in the fourth quarter of this year. Sounds kinda rushed to me, I could see her go six singles deep with Just Like You and release the third album around June 2009.

On the first season of The Way It Is, Keyshia said they were hoping to have JLY out by Christmas 2006, so I don't think it will actually happen this time.
