Just remember, "COO" being certified 20X Platinum just means that 20 million copies have been shipped; not sold. BTW, How big would Shania Twain's personal fortune be estimated at by now *based on her touring and album sales*? But she has sold nearly that amount-over 15 million in retail and over 2 million more with just one music club. I would say the certification is needed.

should sell well for years to come. I wonder how much of an impact it will have on COO's sales, being that half the album is on GH.

I'd be curious to know how much of COO's sales are from that international edition. I't by no means the same scenario as Up! since that album was sold separately, but still would be nice to know. Granted, the bulk of copies is of the orginal release. When the International version was released in the States in 1999, COO was already certified 16xPatinum, I think. Or between 15-16. And the original version kept selling.

BTW, How big would Shania Twain's personal fortune be estimated at by now *based on her touring and album sales*? Every RIAA certification is by shipment, not only Shania's... But, COO sold on the counter in the last years: 2002 - 300k ; 2003 - 400k, 2004 so far almost 200k. The last certification of the album was in march 2002. So since then the album almost sold by Soundscan 1 million copies. And btw, why are you so curious of others persoal fortune?

is where COO re-entered (catalog albums do appear on that chart), not the Billboard 200.
WHen I said impact, I meant once it was released. Now that GH is available, we'll see how it impacts COO's sales from here on out.
And I watched her at the CMAs- id she lip-synch? It appeared that way- sounded just like the record, and her live vocals usually are distinctive enough from the recorded vocals.

To put this to rest(lol) no she did not lip the song. There was voice-over b/c Shania's voice is very weak. Billy didn't lip, Shania messed up twice and added "woo" and "oww"s to the song..lol

I got this from the efg forum:
These are friday's numbers:
1 - Eminem - Encore - 389, 062 copies sold (First Day) - 0% 2 - Shania Twain - Greatest Hits - 41, 114 - down by 38.43% from Thursday 3 - Britney Spears - Greatest Hits - 34, 246 - up by 36.96% from Thursday 4 - Toby Keith - Greatest Hits - 28, 502 - down by 53.15% from Thursday
Here's how the overall standing look:
1 - Shania Twain - Greatest Hits - 410, 326 copies sold 2 - Eminem - Encore - 389, 062 copies sold (First Day) 3 - Toby Keith - Greatest Hits - 329, 051 copies sold 4 - Britney Spears - Greatest Hits - 180, 668 copies sold
I'm not totally sure if these are right so don't take my word on it.

If these are true, I would expect Eminem to debut at #1 with around 1 million. Since Toby & Shania have an older audience than Britney, I would think that they would do better on weekends when their fans aren't at work. Maybe 550K for Shania, and 450K for Toby. Britney will doabout 250-275.

Friday was not first day for Eminem. Thursday was at the majority of stores, including Best Buy and all non-rack accounts. the DC CD was also moved up by Sony/BMG to Friday.
Also, not many mainstream country fans were buying any CDs Tuesday night. As for Shania's label (UMG and Mercury) -- what a total disgrace.

Shania is supposed to be featured on "Extra" today (Monday, Nov. 15).
The segment will be about Shania and Mark's performance at "Domino Day" in Holland.
Mark went to Holland to perform "Party For Two" with Shania at the Domino event.

Shania will also be on "Oprah" tomorrow (Tuesday, November 16).
"Oprah" is doing a wedding show and Shania is a Special Guest for the show.
I assume she will be singing something and maybe doing a little talking with Oprah.

From This Moment On, since it is the perfect wedding song. Shania sang "You're Still the One." It was the bride's favorite song. The bride sang along as Shania was singing. The bride knew every word to the song. Shania only came to sing that one song. I was surprised at how much Oprah promoted Shania's "Greatest Hits" cd towards the end of the show since the show was a wedding special and so focused on the couple getting married. At the end of the show Oprah made a point of mentioning Shania and thanking her for showing up to sing that one song. Oprah even showed the cover of Shania's "Greatest Hits" cd at the end of the show and said every member of her audience was getting a copy.
