AVERSIONPolyphonic Spree Signs to TVTMar 14, 2007 The Polyphonic Spree finally has a home for its new album. The Spree will drop its hotly anticipated The Fraglie Army from TVT Records in June. The 12-track effort follows up 2004's Together We're Heavy (Hollywood), and an digital-only EP, Wait, that hit stores last year. =============================//============================ This band is sorely underrated. Fact! How Tim DeLaughter evolved from an average-to-mediocre corporate alt.rock band like Tripping Daisy to this dream-pop-meets-gospel endeavour is just striking. First question I would pose at him in an interview at this stage: Tim, how does it feel to see your band's name in the same catalogue as Lil' Jon?

I'm only familiar with the "Light and Day" song. Pretty good (I agree that it beats Tripping Daisy), but I wasn't inspired to get that cd, and the follow-up album slipped through the cracks for me entirely. I'll preview a few of the "Fragile Army" tracks and see if I like it.

I'm in love with this band. I think they are terrific. I sent my hardcore Nirvana friend their cover of "Lithium" to freak her out. It worked. :)
