I know Pulse is cold at this point, but I really wouldn't mind a repackaged version. They could lead off with Looking At Me since it's getting some exposure in the show, and then I would say Wardrobe or Heart Never Had A Hero would be the next logical choices.

I totally agree with the frustration that Hands Tied was never sent to Mainstream Urban.

Yeah, "Looking At Me" would be perfect for the Spring/Summer. As for the re-release, she does have about an albums-worth of songs recorded for Pulse that didn't make the retail version that they could include (such as the Ne-Yo penned "It's You" or "In The Morning" which ended up on Mary J's last album).

I have a soft spot for Not A Chance too. The tracks that didn't make the album are better than a lot of the Pulse album cuts:)

Someone bought her album yesterday while I was at work (at FYE), and I asked her if she watched the show, which she replied with a YES.

I really hope this show adds more to her sales during it's run. That, plus perhaps a re-release of one of her singles ("Make My Heart" or "Woman") to save money, would help.

ANYTHING but Make My Heart...that song was a stain on her career the sane thing to do would be go back into the studio and record a RnB record in time for the premiere of the 2nd season.

I like the show. Very entertaining; however, looking at this family dealing with so much drama is depressing. This family will always have problem if they continue to mix business with their family. Tamar can be slightly annoying as well. If she wants a singing career so badly, why won't she go to another record executive and see if they would want to invest in her instead of her husband (I mean if she fails, she will place blame on her husband so why jeopardize her marriage?)

Yeah while Toni is doing all of this promo for the show, she should just try to release another single from her album, just to see what would happen.

^ Definitely. Why didn't the label just wait until the show came out and THEN released her album? The haphazard timing seems very ill-conceived. If there was ANY public interest left for new music from Toni, it's now.
I'm enjoying the show, and Tamar (who's album I actually liked back in 2000) is quite the diva.

The singer has completed court-ordered personal financial management courses.



When someone ends up filing bankruptcy twice, you know they are either financially challenged or they have ridiculously high bills that they can’t keep up with. In Toni Braxton’s case, she claimed that medical expenses for herself (because of lupus) and her autistic son are what put her in the hole--but the judge wasn’t buying it.

Last year, when the singer filed for bankruptcy for the second time because she was between $10 and $50 million in debt, she was ordered to complete a course in personal financial management.

TMZ happily reported that Toni Braxton has graduated from debt school and has the certificate to prove it. The certificate states that Braxton passed an internet instruction course concerning financial management.

In her interview with Sister 2 Sister show star Toni Braxton details her decision on making the foray into reality television, balancing having an autistic son and demanding career being managed by her own brother-in-law and more.

HOW SONS DENIM AND DIEZEL MOTIVATE HER

Some mornings I don’t want to get up . . . Sometimes I just want to lay in bed, or sometimes I think morbid and dark, I have to be honest, because I am so down on myself. But then I think of my kids and I go, “I gotta get up. I gotta do what I gotta do for Denim and Diezel. I’m their mom, it’s my job to make sure they’re okay.”

ON HAVING HER CAREER MANAGED BY HER SISTER’S HUSBAND

He’s great because he gets us. He knows how we are as a family. He knows how I am individually, and he works his butt off for me. It could be challenging for him, I am sure, sometimes, because he is also married to my sister. So he has to be a husband, too. How do you differentiate? “My wise has needs and my artist, Toni, has needs.” But anyway, it stays balanced. He has the toughest job, to me.

As viewers of the show know Tamar loves being the center of attention.

SAYING YES TO ‘THE BRAXTONS’

It took a little bit of convincing, even once we started shooting, because I was ready for them to get out; my kids are coming home. And so we had to get more scenes: “Can we get some scenes with you and your kids?” At first, I said, “Noe, you can’t get my kids. No, absolutely not.” And then I talked to the kids and I said, “Okay, well, I do want people to see a side of me that’s a mom.” So it was a revealing show for me. And sometimes it was challenging for my sisters to understand that. I would say, “Guys, people should feel like they’re seeing through the keyhold, not in your living room. Then you lose your mystique.” And they would say, “Yeah, but that’s old school, Toni; nobody does that. People want to hang out with their stars or their entertainers; their favorites. They want to get to know them; they want to feel like they’re in the living room now. You’re dated; you have to get current.” At first I was offended. Then I started watching shows and paying attention and going “Whoa, I guess they’re right.”

Toni Braxton Not Planning To Divorce Keri Lewis

Singer Toni Braxton has no plans to legally end her marriage to estranged husband Keri Lewis, because she can't bear to break the news to the couple's two young sons.

The star split from Lewis, a former member of R&B band Mint Condition, in late 2009 but the pair has remained close for the sake of their boys Denim, nine, and Diezel, eight.

And Braxton admits she can't see herself filing for divorce to finalise their split for fear of upsetting her children.

She tells Sister 2 Sister magazine, "We co-parent together. Sometimes he stays over with the kids; he's very involved with his kids... April would have been 10 years (since we wed). We're, like, the best of friends.

"We told the kids, 'Sometimes mummy and daddy need a little break.' That's probably why I haven't done a straight divorce yet."

WE-TV renews ‘Braxton Family Values’ for second season

After just four airings, WE-TV is so happy with Duluth resident Toni Braxton and her sisters that the network is renewing their reality show “Braxton Family Values” for a second season.

There will be 13 more one-hour episodes in 2012, up from 10 for the first season.

In a press release, Braxton said: “We all hoped people could relate to our family dynamic and are thrilled with the positive response we have received. We are all very much looking forward to bringing you another eventful season of Braxton Family Values.”

Braxton’s sisters have each shown their own quirks and quirky conflicts, enough to make a reasonably interesting reality TV show.

Ratings, relatively speaking, are good for WE-TV. Over four episodes, the show has averaged 589,000 viewers. The show opened at 690,000, slipped to 533,000 by episode 3 but steadied at 539,000 May 3. That same week, the average prime-time audience for WE-TV is just 230,000.

Agree 100%...usually when there is a "character" like this on a reality show they have some redeeming quality. She's just annoying. It's sad but musically no one is really checking for Toni Braxton anymore (sadly...)...they surely aren't checking for Tamar.

Braxton Family Values Coming Back For A Second Season After Only Four Episodes

WE tv announced today the renewal of the network's popular original series, Braxton Family Values, only 4 episodes into the first season.

As previously reported the series follows singer/songwriter Toni Braxton and her four sisters – Tamar, Trina, Towanda and Traci – as they navigate the drama created by the relationships among them.

During a sit-down with HipHopWired, Traci Braxton previously mentioned that she hoped every woman could relate to their day-to-day struggles because "every woman is a Braxton.”

Luckily viewers agreed with Traci and 13 new one-hour episodes will premiere in 2012.

Speaking on the renewal of the now hit show, Toni Braxton released a statement saying,

“My Family and I are so grateful for the love and support the fans have for the show. We all hoped people could relate to our family dynamic and are thrilled with the positive response we have received. We are all very much looking forward to bringing you another eventful season of Braxton Family Values.”

Braxton Family Values airs every Tuesday at 9pm on WE tv.

In celebration of their recent renewal, all five of the Braxton sisters posed for a photoshoot with famed photographer Robert Ector.

The photos will be used for the upcoming issue of "Todays Black Woman" magazine and features styling from Leah Taylor.
