i heard this sold 1000 copies this week...if it's true, it probably won't be on the top 200, though he might make it on heatseekers b/c he's a new "artist"

LOL! I'd feel sorry for him..... except that when he goes home, he can jump around in all of Britney's cash. Oh, that's right, he pays for everything himself! I forgot! TEE HEE! Looks like I spoke too soon. No Britney cash to roll around in anymore. I wonder if she'll take back his Ferrari? I guess he won't have to worry about that since he payed for it himself *sarcasm*

With wife Britney Spears doing her thing in New York, Kevin Federline keeps his lips sealed during an appearance on Canada's MuchMusic program in Toronto on Monday. He later loosened up to perform his single, "Lose Control."

Federline Pays Thomas Dolby for Illegal SamplePosted Nov 7th 2006 2:53PM by AOL Music Staff Filed under: Pop It's been a rough week for Kevin Federline. First, the lawsuit he and his wife, Britney Spears, filed against Us Weekly was dismissed. Now the singer has agreed to an out-of-court settlement with Thomas Dolby for his unauthorized sample of Dolby's signature hit, 'She Blinded Me with Science.' The sample appeared on Federline's single 'America's Most Wanted,' which drew more than a half million downloads on MySpace earlier this year. Dolby joked in a statement about his plans for the influx of cash: "I'm going to buy a new sailboat, find a quiet anchorage somewhere, make myself a cup of tea and write some brand new songs," he said. Not that he needs the money. He's the inventor of the polyphonic ringtone software likely used in your mobile phone -- it's in more than 100 million of the things. Which can only add insult to injury, every time K-Fed picks up another call from his lawyers.

Nov 8, 4:19 PM EST 'Fed-Ex' Federline Has Dubious Future
By ERIN CARLSON Associated Press Writer NEW YORK (AP) -- While a newly fit and fabulous Britney Spears appears to be staging a career comeback, her soon to be ex-husband, Kevin Federline, is hanging on by a very thin thread.
He might not get to continue that Gucci-wearing, high-rolling lifestyle he brags about in his rap songs. And his career - cue the eye rolls - is not taking off as he'd hoped.
After two years of marriage, Federline, 28, went from K-Fed to Fed-Ex on Tuesday when Spears filed for divorce in Los Angeles, citing "irreconcilable differences." The 24-year-old pop princess is seeking custody of their two young sons, with visitation rights for Federline.
That's bad news for Fed, a backup dancer-turned-rapper who's been tagged as a party-loving bad boy and well-kept husband. There appears to be a prenuptial agreement, which "probably contains a waiver of alimony, but we don't know that," said Bethesda, Md.-based divorce lawyer Glenn Cooper. "If he waived it, he won't get it." Federline's debut album, released on Halloween, sold a dismal 6,500 copies its first week, according to Nielsen Soundscan.
He can't blame lack of publicity for the poor sales. "I think there are very few people who don't know that he has a record out," said Leah Greenblatt, a music writer at Entertainment Weekly magazine.
"I don't think he needs to publicize the fact that an album exists by Kevin Federline," she said. "But I haven't heard of any sort of appearance that he's made where he hasn't been heckled and booed ... he just strikes me as either completely clueless or just incredibly tenacious. And possibly deluded."
The guy also is having a tough time finding a friendly audience. Amid a chorus of boos, he was body-slammed last month by wrestler John Cena in an appearance on "WWE Monday Night Raw." He had to cancel a concert this week at a House of Blues in Cleveland, Greenblatt said, because of low ticket sales. He played to a nearly empty house at New York City's Webster Hall last weekend. And at his album release party at a New York club last Friday - no sign of Brit, by the way - the crowd was more excited about dancing to popular hits than listening to Fed's rhymes.
Gary Bongiovanni, editor of Pollstar, which tracks concert tour schedules and sales, called him a "curiosity factor."
A Federline music future is not in the cards, Bongiovanni said, "unless there is a demand out there or somebody who believes in him and is willing to take a chance and willing to buy a whole tour of K-Fed and take him around the country."
"In fact," he added, "I'd almost expect him to drift away into obscurity. He gets a hit record, that changes everything. Absent that, you know, he gets divorced, there goes the curiosity factor."
What should Federline do next to remain in the spotlight?
In September, he guest starred on "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," so he might try acting. Or he could return to his former profession: backup dancer to tried-and-true stars such as Christina Aguilera. "That's one genuine talent that he did have," Greenblatt said.
Semi-pro wrestler? Nah. Handbag designer? That's a low blow. Reality TV star?
That's more like it, says Greenblatt. "I don't see him as being that far below someone like Omarosa (from "The Apprentice") on the Hollywood food chain once the fallout settles."

Kevin Federline Parties in Chicago "You know, I'm a free man, right, ladies?" he tells the crowd at his House of Blues show By Lorna Grisby and Mark Guarino People Magazine Nov 09, 2006 09:00AM EST
If Kevin Federline is a man mourning the demise of his marriage, he didn't show it onstage at Chicago's House of Blues Wednesday night.
Playing the role of a rap Casanova, Federline leaned into the crowd to touch the hands of women who were reaching toward him. Several songs into the set, he referenced his breakup with Britney Spears. "Hey, I see a lot of fine ladies in here," said the rapper. "You know I'm a free man, right, ladies? You wanna dance with a pimp?"
Federline kept his spirits up throughout the performance before a standing-room-only audience (tickets were being given away free), though he addressed the "haters" from the stage, as a few audience members heckled him.
Still that didn't stop him from getting his newly single status across yet again: "All my ladies," he said from stage, "I love you to death!"
After the show, Federline lived up to his party boy reputation, by stopping by the Chicago hot spot, Cabaret, where he arrived just after midnight. He was escorted to a VIP section where he chatted up his entourage and danced to the thunderous music – cigarette in hand – rapping aloud when his own songs were played.
People packed the small VIP section; those who weren't allowed inside crowded around it. Federline didn't budge from the corner he occupied until just before 1 a.m. when three fans, shouting and waving at him, got his attention. He declined their request to join them on the dance floor, but did sign the three CD jackets they handed to him.
"He signed my name wrong, but I don't care. Oh my God, I love him," said Colleen Harvey whose Federline autograph read: "To Kelly Thanx 4 tha support F*** the media KF"
Around 1:25 a.m., Federline took over the microphone: "Ladies if you're drunk, let me hear you scream!" he shouted. Later he added, "I represent the g–damned West Coast."
When the crowd thinned out, Federline ordered champagne for the DJ booth, drank Jack Daniels from the bottle and let friends try on his many gold chains. "It's a party for K Federline. Gonna rock and roll," he announced.
After leading the remaining crowed in an expletive-filled chat against the media, Federline reminded everyone that he's unattached: "He said he's a single man. He's looking for ladies," Harvey said.

But like tabloids and late night comics, music reviewers haven't been kind to Federline, so we wanted to get K-Fed's thoughts on the bad rap:
TeenPeople.com: So why did you want to get into the music business in the first place? Kevin Federline: My [career] as a dancer was pretty much at a close. And that was even before me and Britney got married. I've done so much. Like after I danced for Michael [Jackson], it's like, where do I go from here? I've been wanting to do the music thing for so long -- I had to do it. I had to give it a shot, and I wound up falling in love with it. It's something that I'll always do no matter what, no matter how much people buy into it. It's a hidden passion that's been there.
TeenPeople.com: You've had a lot of people criticize your work and what you're trying to do. Were you expecting that? KF: Of course. And that's a big reason why I came out talking trash on the media and all kinds of stuff like that.
TeenPeople.com: Well, there are some lyrics that I wanted to ask you about. You call yourself the 'pancake man' and you rap, 'Come and dance with the Bisquick.' What does that mean? KF: I'm going stay away from that. That's one for the books. I've got children. I'm gonna come out and talk about it one time, I'm gonna tell everyone about it one time and from there, we'll see what happens.
TeenPeople.com: Moving on… How fast have you gone in your Ferrari? KF: 165 [miles per hour].
TeenPeople.com: I read that you wanted to go to Africa because you thought you could do some good there. Have you ever talked with fellow Malibu resident Angelina Jolie about that? KF: You know what? A couple of times that we've tried to connect, you know, me and Brit, and her and Brad and we just -- it hasn't happened yet. Everybody's busy right now. It's something that I'm interested in. I want to go to Africa for other reasons. I want to see the land, I want to see the safari and all that stuff. I used to watch the Discovery Channel when I was a kid all the time and watch the lions go after the little animals.
TeenPeople.com: So you and Britney reached out to Brad and Angelina about Africa? KF: No. Angelina was trying to get in touch with us. I don't know if it was about that, I don't know what it was about. We tried to touch base before, it hasn't happened yet. Everybody's too busy.
TeenPeople.com: Do you have a guy crush? KF: What's that?
TeenPeople.com: Is there a guy you think is cool? It doesn't mean you want to make out with him. But if you want to make out with some guy, please feel free to share. KF: That would not happen. Who would I say is a cool dude? I like Johnny Depp. I've always liked his stuff. He takes his roles and plays them. He's the only one that can play them that way.
TeenPeople.com: Who's a better dancer, you or Justin Timberlake? KF: Hmm. I haven't been dancing for a while. Back in my day I was way better. But it's been a few years.
TeenPeople.com: So how's Britney's chihuahua Bit Bit? KF: Bit Bit is short and fat. We gave her to friends of ours. We gave all the dogs to friends of ours, all the same person so they could stay with each other.
TeenPeople.com: Why did you give your dogs away? KF: It's just too much with the kids and all these dogs running around all over the place...it just wasn't really working.
TeenPeople.com: I see. Are you going to vote Republican, Democrat or Independent? [The November 7 election, where the Democrats won control of Congress, was a few days away at the time of the interview.] KF: I don't know. I haven't even thought about that right now. There's just too much going on to even think about voting right now. I think the world is in a crazy place and it's a toss-up for me. So we'll have to see.
TeenPeople.com: Do you ever think about all that's happened to you and think, 'Wow. I'm Kevin Federline.' KF: It's hard to like really sit back. I'm thankful and I'm blessed and I see that. But I look at it different than everybody else and that's why I think I'm in this position right now. I'm not dreaming it. I see the reality of it. I see what it is I do for my wife and the reason why my wife and I are together. I think that we're the only ones that understand that and that's what makes it work.
TeenPeople.com: Do you have any regrets? KF: I have no regrets, man. I took life and breathed it in. I really just soak every moment in because who knows when it's gone. Who knows.

Kevin Federline brings his rap to the streets of Washington, D.C., on Saturday, where he took time for an impromptu meet-and-greet with fans. Federline performed Sunday in Norfolk, Va., to promote his new album, Playing with Fire. So what's next for K-Fed? He's scheduled to return to his native California for three more concert dates this week.

Kevin Federline Parties It Up in Miami Beach K-Fed gets the VIP treatment, but has his mind on messaging, PEOPLE reports
By Jon Warech Nov 16, 2006 02:00PM EST
Eight days after Britney Spears filed for divorce, Kevin Federline arrived in Florida via tour bus and went directly to a luxurious Miami Beach condo, sources tell PEOPLE.
The rapper's Miami visit will include his hosting a Friday night party at South Beach club Mansion alongside friend DJ Irie, who appeared with Federline at the Teen Choice Awards and can be seen in the "Lose Control" video.
K-Fed's scheduled appearance was confirmed by a club spokesperson. The hosting arrangement was planned before the divorce, and a source close to Federline says he's sticking to the commitment.
Early Thursday morning at 12:50 a.m., Federline -- along with a male posse and two bodyguards -- partied at Glass, the club connected to the long-popular South Beach restaurant The Forge, where they hung at a corner table. Federline, sporting a white T-shirt, white Yankees cap, jeans and a gold chain, danced a bit but spent most of his time smoking and text-messaging.
After an hour that included his being approached by two attractive females (one blonde and one brunette), Federline and company headed to Mansion, where he had hosted a party in June when he and Spears last visited Miami together.
This time at Mansion he hung out in the VIP area -- where the same two women from Glass approached him. Only Federline seemed more interested in text-messaging.

Kevin Federline waves his hand in the air like he just doesn't care – "I'll be damned if I ever give a f– what y'all think," he sang to the crowd of about 500 people – at the the House of Blues Wednesday night in West Hollywood. In his 45-minute show, he asked why everybody hates him, then speculated: "Maybe it's because I took their queen?"
