Kevin Follows in Britney's Vegas Footsteps A week after his ex, Federline arrives in Sin City for an album-release party
By Mark Gray Nov 27, 2006 10:00AM EST
A week after Britney Spears took Las Vegas by storm, her soon-to-be ex-husband, Kevin Federline, arrived in the city for an album-release party on Friday night.
Federline and his entourage kicked off the evening with dinner at Tao at the Venetian, where Spears had dined with new pal Paris Hilton the previous weekend (and where Spears threw Federline a 28th birthday party back in March).
Before hitting the hotel and casino's club after dinner, Federline posed for photos in a dark pin-striped suit. He declined interviews but told photographers, "I'm good."
Once inside the club, Federline chilled at his VIP booth with about 15 friends, drinking cocktails and sending text messages, but rarely chatting with the women at his table.
"He seemed really aware of his actions, but he was really having a good time," one clubgoer tells PEOPLE.
One small hiccup occurred when DJ Reach, Tao's DJ, played Spears's song "Toxic." As his friends abruptly stopped dancing, Federline put his hand in the air, shooing away the song in disapproval. The DJ stopped the song halfway through, saying, "Hold on. This is Kevin's night."
As the night wore on, Federline and his crew danced when the DJ played his songs "Lose Control" and "Privilege." The group left after 4 a.m., headed for the Venetian's casino.

Dec 6, 2:39 PM EST Kevin Federline Says He's Doing `great'
NEW YORK (AP) -- Britney Spears dumped him and his debut album bombed, but Kevin Federline says he's doing "great."
"I am good, I am great, you know ... just moving along, progressing and taking it all in stride," the 28-year-old aspiring rapper tells "E! News" in an interview that was to air Wednesday night.
Spears, 25, filed for divorce last month after two years of marriage. She and Federline have a 1-year-old son, Sean Preston, and an infant son, Jayden James, who was born Sept. 12. Spears is seeking custody of both children, with visitation rights for Federline.
Federline, who is seeking spousal support and sole custody of his sons with Spears, says he's a family man and "that is the truth ... in all honesty, that is what it is."
He is also the father of a 4-year-old daughter, Kori, and a 2-year-old son, Kaleb, with actress Shar Jackson. They dated before he became involved with Spears.
Meanwhile, the media is giving the club-hopping Federline a tough time.
"I laugh a little bit about it you know," he said. "I don't take it too seriously. Those are people who don't really know who I am."
His debut album, "Playing With Fire," sold a dismal 6,500 copies in its first week of release. The CD was released Oct. 31.
When asked about it, Federline says he's "working it slowly, still trying to get out there and do more stuff ... I got a lot of options on the table right now."
His New Year's resolution?
To be "a little bit wiser, a little bit stronger."

His album is hilarious I love it- it's like the "Jaws the Revenge" of music. Like a train wreck, I also love watching his TV spots- when Ellen introduces him and says it's his "new" single and he comes swaggering to the microphone as if he is a legitimate artist with his next "single," it's just a hoot.
Actually "Privilege" is not a bad song.

The thing is, he can't even use this time to concentrate on promoting the album because all of the songs were about how he and Britney would never be apart and were together forever. I hope he makes some more music- he's so awful I love watching him on TV trying to sing.

Kevin Federline Trash Talks WWE Champ K-Fed "never backs down from a challenge," he says about his upcoming face-off with John Cena
By Stephen M. Silverman Teen People Dec 20, 2006 10:00AM EST
Kevin Federline is ready for a fight.
The estranged husband of Britney Spears is scheduled to face World Wrestling Entertainment champion John Cena in the ring on New Year's Day in Miami -- and is already talking like he's the winner.
"The real Kevin Federline never backs down from a challenge," Federline said Monday night at Washington, D.C.'s Verizon Center, where a WWE extravaganza was taking place, The Washington Post's "Reliable Source" column reports.
Federline, who earlier this fall signed with the WWE to appear in some staged fights and was even body slammed by Cena in October, was there to promote his New Year's Day face-off.
And though the rapper is poised to for an uphill battle with Britney Spears over custody of the couple's two children -- Sean Preston, 1, and Jayden James who was born Sept. 12 -- the 28-year-old says he'll be the victor when he meets the 6,1", 240-lb. Cena in the ring.
"Make all your jokes, because New Year's Day I'm the one who is going to be laughing," Federline shouted to Monday's crowd -- which, according to The Post, booed him, except for two women upfront who extended their hands.
He also had an announcement for his rival. "Oh yeah, Cena, my name is not K-Fed, it's Kevin Federline, bitch, and I want some and I'm gonna get some."

World Wrestling Entertainment champ John Cena gets the upper hand against Kevin Federline during their bout at the American Airlines Arena in Miami on Monday. The rapper, who already got a beatdown from Cena during their October face-off, got revenge moments later by pinning the muscle man to the mat for a three count.

At least he is doing something- in a way it's kinda smart- he knows people are going to boo him regardless and wrestling is like the only sport where lots of boos kinda mean you are popular and it works for you-
But why wear the rap stuff there- if Britney can show her thang, he needs to get in one of those skin-tight suits and run around- he might actually start making some real money though he does not have the body to be a wrestler.

Lord have mercy *vomits* But Kevin seems like a cool enough guy. If he didn't have a giant "W" tattooed to his forehead ("w" for wigga) he wouldn't be a media punching bag.

Federline: Expect a Different Kevin in '07 Britney's ex says his self-deprecating Super Bowl ad is the start of a whole new image
By Alexis Chiu and Tim Nudd Jan 18, 2007 10:00AM EST
Kevin Federline says his self-deprecating Super Bowl ad is a sign of a "new Kevin" for 2007 – one who's upbeat and determined to change his image.
"This is just the start of other things to come – '07 is a completely life-changing experience for me," Federline, 28, told PEOPLE at the shoot for the Nationwide Insurance commercial on Wednesday. "We're only a few weeks in, and it's already going in a whole another direction. I'm happy. Definitely happy."
What's his top priority? "Just changing my perception of myself in the public eye is number one," he said. "I'm slowly and gradually doing that."
Some may be surprised by the Nationwide spot, in which Federline goes from rap star to fry cook. ("Life comes at you fast," is the slogan.) But Britney Spears's soon-to-be ex says looking at the bright side is his style.
"I always look at everything positive no matter what," he said. "I've been through a lot of stuff in my life and had to overcome a lot of different situations. I learned at a young age it's not good to be negative about everything. Life's too short for that."
He's also planning to stay in the spotlight in 2007. "The music will always be there," he said. "Clothing deals, we're in negotiations with that. Some overseas stuff. Still going to do a little bit of the club appearances. This is just the perfect kickoff to the new year to me."
And, of course, his kids – Kori, 4, and Kaleb, 2, his children with ex Shar Jackson, and Sean Preston, 1, and Jayden James, 4 months, with Spears – keep him busy. "I do have to go through the Dora, the Explorer stuff, I do that in the morning," he said. "I do that with the kids."
But it's worth it: "The best thing about being a father is my children. That's it. There's nothing greater in life than that to me."
