While I haven't heard it, i'm shocked it had a instant impact on POP at 58 spins. You all remember Mario from his seriously out-dated hit 'Just a Friend 2002' (or was it 2003? who cares). Looks like could join the class of the great two-hit wonders. ;)

i thought "braid my hair" was his 2nd single? Yes, but mst3k could be saying that because it didn't chart on CHR-Pop and "C'mon" did.

He's not a two-hit wonder, he's still a one-hit wonder as far as I'm concerned.
I dont know exact chart positions but I was under the assumption "Brad My Hair" and "C'mon" barely made dents on any type of chart.
His new song is pretty good though, and it wouldn't surprise me at all if it became a hit for him.

His new song is pretty good though, and it wouldn't surprise me at all if it became a hit for him. I think it's REALLY nice, it's clearly going to have good peaks at Rhythmic and Urban. If Pop gets onto it, it'll go very far. He may actually end up forming a real career, this isn't a novelty remake song by a teenager, isn't a nice mid-tempo ballad.

This WILL be a hit no kidding. I still see his future iffy but it ain't bad being a two-hit wonder (for those who didn't know his other hit was Just a Friend 1992 or something, whatever)

I'm liking this song. It'd be nice to see it do well on the pop charts.

I think this song will definitely be a hit on Pop. I dont know how high it will go, but I think it will go at least Top 30 or 20.
It's just going to take it a while, especially on Pop. I don't see it making any major moves or start its ascent until at least December or January.

Mario was like 6 in 1992. i'm sorry, you misunderstood me, what I meant to write was 'Just a Friend 1812' which might as well been the titled cuz it's more out-dated the original Biz Markee song. I was being sarcastic you see har-dee-har-har ;)

im not sure who produced this but im pretty sure this will break top 10 at pop. It sounds like a radio-friendly song and its similar to over and over and it might have the same success.

WKQI is already calling him "the next Usher."
But anyways this one took a couple listens to get, and it's really good now!

Wow, this is actually a great song. Sort of reminds me "I Don't Wanna Know."

People are really feeling this song, on this thread alone, not one person has said they hate this song and PMB members are pretty damn honest bout their opinions. So that is a very good omen for this one. Me personally, on first impression, I really liked it and it's grown on me every time I've heard it.
I predict: #5
It'll be a sleeper hit this winter.

I really like this one. Does anyone know who produced it? Thanks. Scott Storch produced it The next Usher, hmm...you know, that might not be THAT far off...it's not like Usher is a super-talented individual when it comes to his voice. He has a decent voice, can dance, has sex appeal and timing/luck was on his side, so Im sure Mario can repeat that in due time, but there's also a bit of luck needed to attain that kind of success (although Usher hasn't until just this year).

this is the next Mario Winan's, I don't Wanna Know. Look for this to peak around #4 or 5 in Late January. Good song, will have good recurrent follow-up for the first half of 2005.
