Do you remember the 1999-2000 Kenny G version of "Auld Lang Syne" that featured snippets of 100 years of news clips? This made the R&R Top 40 for 1 week in January 2000 at #40 and was the last Top 40 hit ever for Kenny G who hit it big in the late 1980's and early 1990's with hits like "Songbird" and "Forever in Love".

Sure do. The full title was "Auld Lang Syne (the Millenium Mix)"
I'm not much of a Kenny G fan, nor of this song in general, but this was his best creation ever, and it was because of all the sound clips intertwined throughout the song.
I also enjoyed the follow-up release in late '02 - "Auld Lang Syne (the Freedom Mix)". It was basically a copy of the Millenium Mix, only with some added footage of the 9/11 events at the end.

Yeah, I loved this song, especially the "Millennium Mix". Can't say that I've ever heard the "Freedom Mix".
This song peaked at #7 on the AC chart in early 2000 and, even though the song only spent four weeks on the chart, managed to make it into the AT20 (AC) "Top 60 of 2000" countdown (of course, this was back when they were using that weird Mediabase chart with the unwritten recurrent rule. Most of that year-end chart did not make sense).
