How is a #2 peak unfortunate?

Yeah, #2 is NOT unfortunate! BTHE is probably her 3rd biggest hit behind "Breakaway" and "Since U Been Gone".

I'd say 4th- don't forget about "Miss Independent."

I'd say 4th- don't forget about "Miss Independent." I actually think BTHE is a bigger hit than MI was (if you want my explanation, go to the previous page of the thread).

you know I think you're great Kiki, but i'll have to disagree it you on that one. I think "Miss Independent" is still heavily identified with her (i've even heard her referred to that many times) and it was her first hit that wasn't directly affilliated with American Idol.

I still consider "Miss Independent" to be bigger. Now if this smashes that one in longevity, I'll give it to "BTHE".

Remember everyone, BTHE isnt done yet. Its bulet is now bigger then Mariahs, so it could still (very outside chance) take over #1 for a couple of weeks, and if it hangs on in the Top 20 after that, it could be a biigger Pop hit then Breakaway.

I don't think "Shake it off" will be so successful... "Cool" will peak much higher IMO. see, i think its the exact opposite. I wouldn't expect Cool to do that well, and i think Shake It Off's gonna explode---just my opinion.

After the final update, 780 spins away from #1. Which means it gained 28 spins on Mariah since yesterday.

The bullet is down to +82 and it lost spins and audience from yesterday.

lol... it's so ironic that BTHE is always behind in the chart, and the first word in the song's title is Behind.

If Mariah falls as quickly as Gwen (for example) I think BTHE has a chance to be #1. Kelly's songs don't die easily!

Mariah's bullet is starting to drop, while Kelly's is picking up a bit, there still is a chance.

it would be sad if Kelly could not reach #1 considering her spins are so high.
Anyone who gets that high, deserves a #1 hit.

mariah's cooling down a lot faster than i expected so, kelly might just have just one slim chance.

I don't think any songs rising in the Top 20 now (Pussycat Dolls, Rihanna, DHT, etc) will end up at number one, so it depends on how quickly (or slowly) Mariah falls. I think Kelly has a good chance at at least 2-3 weeks at the top.

Kelly gained 56 spins on Mariah yesterday, now 719 spins from #1 with a bullet twice the size of Mariah's, the chances continue to rise.

If RCA was smart, they would ask Kelly to record an acoustic version, like the one she performed on ''Live with Regis and Kelly'', and they would send the acoustic version to radio stations as well to get further airplay.

If this song does reach #1 it would have waited out both hollaback girl and we belong together. Pretty impressive.
and since the black eyed peas bullet is getting smaller, if BTHE makes #1 it may last a couple of weeks since there is no other song for awhile to pass it.

This just might get #1 now and since there is like no competition, it will probably do what SUBG did and stay at #1 for many many weeks!

if BTHE pulled a SUBG that would be amazing!

Dayum, her bullet is up to +170 and she's so close to the top now.
Go, Kelly!

She has recorded acoustic versions (one for MTV.COM and another for either Napster or Sony Connect), but they probably haven't been sent to radio. The video has tied the record for most days at #1 on TRL for the 50-day era

I hated this song since I first heard it last November. But now it's warming up to me and I hope it reaches #1! Kelly deserves.
