So what aired on Saturday morning? Is AT40 on twice?

Severe weather disturbance disrupted deliveries of many carriers like UPS and Fedex as of Dec 22. So that might be the reason as to why they did not air Rick Dees show. Many Next Day Express Packages have not been delivered, including some rushed Christmas Packages!

I question the bad weather theory. The 2nd part of the year-end countdown was played 35 hours earlier on a station in Africa. Where did Dees tape the show anyway? In Los Angeles or Memphis?

Here's the link to Premiere Radio Networks announcement about the weather slowling the delivery of their CD's of many sydicated shows. Unless they've opted alternative option like FTP/download. www.premrad.com/Its also possible that KISS FM which is owned by Clear Channel had dropped the show a week early. Dec 25-26, 2004 is Rick Dee's final shows from Premiere Radio Network (Also a subsidiary of Clear Channel Communication) (Although Rick Dees Weekly Top 40 will continue under a new distributor and network...)

It was posted when American Top 40 started being hosted by Ryan that it would only be available via download, so apparently AT40 is more hi-tech than Rick Dees. One of my pet peeves is when people type "KISS" instead of "Kiss" (or KIIS if you are talking about that one station) for a CHR-Pop station. The radio station KISS is not CHR-Pop and not owned by Clear Channel.

The weather related problems are for real because in Honolulu, the FedEx freighter flights failed to come in on 12/25-26 and it came just yesterday. Much of the mail was dated 12/20-21.

But did the weather have anything to do with his show on KIIS? Dees himself probably could have delivered the show to the station since he was probably in LA between the time the show was recorded and the air date.

My friend told me a rumor about Rick Dees' new morning show in 2005 (after his Clear Channel contract expires)... something about syndication.
