She's going all reggae on us!  Troubled singer Amy Winehouse is heading back to Jamaica for inspiration on her third album, it has been revealed. The ‘Rehab’ singer, 24, is to stay in the grounds of reggae legend Bob Marley’s house - and work in the studio of his old house for the follow-up to her hugely successful Back To Black CD According to reports, the singer told pals earlier this week that she is planning to work with Bob Marley’s son, Damian - who like his late father, is also a musician. Amy said: “I love Jamaica and wanna feel Bob Marley’s spirit when it comes to my music. “I wanna stay where he lived and hook up with Damian because he’s a genius. I’m desperate to get over there.” The singer has only just returned from a New Year’s break in the Caribbean, and is planning ahead for her trip to the island at Easter. An onlooker in the pub told Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper: “Amy’s face just lit up when she talked about going over there. “She’s well into reggae music and wants to escape all her troubles back home for a bit and just throw herself into her music. She’s always loved the Marleys and she wants her next album to have a real reggae feel about it.” Another pub goer added: “They were deep in in conversation, gossiping about the boys everyone used to fancy. “They kept hugging each other and shouting at the tops of their voices: “Big up Brits School.” Looking forward to some reggae beats from ‘da Winehouse. What happened to the Chrismukkah album? I think it was just a possibility.. I kinda want an actual album over that. Reggae could be interesting, though. From jazz to retro-soul to reggae? She's quite versatile isn't she. :) |

I'm all for her switching up her sound for each album as long as the quality of the music is intact. Me too. I mainly just want her to stay alive long enough to try all of the different things I think she's capable of. |

I guess more of us love Just Friends than I thought. That is one of the best songs I heard in 2007. It's a simple song with a good verse and melody.

The rehabbing singer is pitching in to help preserve The George Tavern, one of her favorite London pubs.
Before she entered into a U.K. treatment center, the Grammy-nominee suggested selling t-shirts to campaign against a planned apartment development which, opponents say, will ruin the bar's unusual 360-degree light. (Parts of the pub date back to 1654, and the atmospheric lighting has been much praised by artists and directors.)
"Amy's a friend, so I went to her flat to see her and she was there with her hairdresser Alex [Foden]," the pub's landlady Pauline Forster tells PEOPLE. "We started talking about the way forward and she said, 'We've got to do a Save The George t-shirt.'"
(The singer did some photo shoots, including one for the cover of her album, at the music venue. Another famous visitor: Justin Timberlake.)
Kate Moss – who has been photographed wearing the $50 t-shirt – has also pledged to "do all she can," Forster said.
As for Winehouse, Forster has not been able to speak with the singer since she entered rehab.
"She's not well, so nobody's allowed to contact her," Forster said. "I spoke to her on the phone twice before she went into rehab, and I've spoken to her father a couple of times. He told me I could write her a letter, so I sent a handwritten one and popped a t-shirt in the post."
On Saturday afternoon, the singer left rehab briefly to visit with her father and her manager, who passed along bottles of Diet Coke and takeout from Nando's, a U.K. chain restaurant.

She looks better then she has in months. She still needs to gain like 20 pounds- but her complexion looks very pretty.
Any word on whether her Visa was granted yet, so she can make it to the grammys? I would die if she missed them....
