Now getting play on K-Rock New York and already gaining a head of steam for the top 30 songs on the station.

Love the song.....but honestly i'm a little shocked. This seems like a third or even fourth single. At some point I'd think Fallen and Breakdown will hit radio. Breakdown, being the ballady song will probably the next song if I had to guess.

Rumor has it that Flyleaf will be co-headlining a tour with Seether before Flyleaf goes back into the studio to write and record their second album.

At least "Fake It" had some grit to it. This is just bland.

I can see that. I honestly don't see why they didn't pick Breakdown second and then perhaps go with this one after...oh well.

Gotta agree with Nick. I'm not a big fan of this, while "Fake It" was my favorite single of theirs since DISCLAIMER.

Dark New Day guitar player Troy McLawhorn, who'd played for Evanescence the last half year will be playing with Seether for their tour trek with Three Days Grace and Breaking Benjamin.
I may be the only person on this board that finds that a little amusing.

Seether has basically announced the tour of the year with Flyleaf and just announced Red.
I'd like to see another three/four bands try and top that.

Seether has basically announced the tour of the year with Flyleaf and just announced Red. I'd like to see another three/four bands try and top that. Easy: Avenged Sevenfold, Atreyu, and Bullet for My Valentine just last week. Unfortunately, that probably will end up being my "tour of the year" right there. BFMV are good, but not great, Atreyu are less and less exciting to watch the more they stray away from their first two albums. At least Avenged managed to blow them both (and presumably everybody else) off the stage. Anyway, I heard "Rise Above This" a second time and it didn't sound so painfully dull anymore. Kind of like how Shinedown's "I Dare You" was bland compared to "Save Me" but ended up being at least listenable. I kind of have to give in to this song a little, though, after hearing the heart-wrenching backstory of Shaun writing this song for his depressed brother, who unfortunately committed suicide anyway, and before he ever got to hear it.

Listening to the Cage Rattle interview about Seether.
A little more about the song...it was finished five weeks before Eugene committed suicide.
Just listening to the interview was hard enough.

I never really liked this song. I know this song was written before his death, but this song apparently touches a tough subject for Shaun. The video is definitely about his brother. Kinda reminiscent of the old Simple Plan video for "Untitled." Don't like the song, love the video. Listening to the Cage Rattle interview about Seether. A little more about the song...it was finished five weeks before Eugene committed suicide. Just listening to the interview was hard enough. Just wondering, are you a member over on TSB?

Ok, yeah I just noticed you mentioned Cage Rattle Radio in a couple of threads and it made me curious. Yeah I just dropped the "Necro" from the beginning of my name over on TSB for this sn

Eugene was Shaun's brother and I don't even think Shaun knows the answer to why he killed himself. Seether had a show somewhere in South Dakota and sometime after the show after everyone was at a hotel, it happened.

Didn't want to make a new thread for this because it hasn't been confirmed, but I'm hearing that Walk Away From the Sun is going to be the next single.
