I like this one too. I knew the final version would be great even after hearing the live rip that had all that distortion in it. The beats in the track sound like they were sampled from Dirty South's mix of "Just Can't Get Enough" by Depeche Mode. It sounds fine.
Now I wish "Happy People" and "Why" would also be released.

Star69records.com has updated their site and has many new downloads including Offer Nissim's "I'm In Love" and "Change".

i'm really worried about *69 releasing all these singles before the cd comes out. is anyone going to want to buy the cd once it comes out if they've already paid for the singles?

Those who bought the other songs could always go ahead and buy the new ones and make their own CD. I wonder if Offer's next full release will be a proper album with Maya and/or a solo album with vocals by different vocalists. Or will it just be another mixed compilation like Forever Tel Aviv/ The Remixes.

in retrospect, they should have not released 2nd time(and just put the part 2 mixes up on the site for download) and then saved the new singles like "be my boyfriend" on this new cd. still confused as to why tony's mix of "on my own" has never been released(not counting it's random appearance on that dj escape compilation.) idk star69 has changed a lot in the past year....for the worse. it makes me wonder if he really has major health problems. i remember he had to cancel a lot of gigs in 06 and then i saw him at his first gig when he was deemed well enough to spin; he was about 3 hours late and i was in the booth for a second and he looked like death. his set that night was TERRIBLE. idk i hope everything is alright

in retrospect, they should have not released 2nd time(and just put the part 2 mixes up on the site for download) and then saved the new singles like "be my boyfriend" on this new cd. Though when I did go to the stores to buy First Time, no one had it. I guess they hadn't gotten more pressed. Then the re-release with 3 more songs and the remixes happened. I got it on sale, but I just thought it was a tad odd to release that. But it was good for those who didn't buy the CD maxis that had the new songs as bonuses and stuff. In the last few months, they have had fewer releases, although they released a handful in the last 2 weeks (digitally though). I did read on their message boards that the Star 69 offices relocated so that may have been just one of the reasons for the slowdown in releases, etc. Though they did manage to keep putting on those club events at Stereo quite regularly. I did hear and read stuff about Peter's health a couple years ago. It has been forever and a day since I went to Roxy (several years ago) and I found the environment to be quite unhealthy in terms of ventilation. After reading reviews about the state of the club last year during the closing party and Junior's Arena Classics event there during Pride, I wasn't surprised that it had gotten worse. In some place, I read that Peter wasn't happy with how hot and poorly ventilated the club was and that may have been reason for him being hospitalized a few years ago. Peter didn't have that many gigs during the last couple of months, but he still had some. Most, if not all DJs need a break every now and then.

it was my understanding he was having an inner ear problem which prevented him from flying so he had to cancel gigs out of nyc, but i remember him saying in dallas that he had like a 102 degree fever that night.
i know the star69 office moved, but they never responded to an email i sent, which is odd bc his people usually respond within the day
