April 21st is the add date for the first single from Mercy (Dancing For The Death Of An Imaginary Enemy), the first album from Ours in six years, and a project that's been going on since 2005. Made with Rick "I Am Your God Now Bitch" Rubin. So far what I've heard has rocked.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!! I promise I will never be that lame again. I was actually tempted to message them on myspace today to ask if they were planning on releasing a single off of this album. Now there's no need. They're kinda like Muse in that they can appeal to the hard rock, the prog rock, and the indie rock crowd all at once. Muse fans would dig Ours, cuz both have vocalists with great ranges and both bands are known for their epicness. Everything I've heard off this album so far has been absolutely beautiful, but I haven't heard this one yet. www.myspace.com/oursmusic has three songs off the new album, all of which are superb. I'd recommend "Mercy" to everyone, "Ran Away To Tell The Truth" to the indie rockers and the Triple A fans, and then "Murder" to the somewhat harder rockers. But I think all three songs are extremely likeable. Oscillations, if you read this, this might be the only band other than Muse that we could possibly both like.

It's now streaming on their myspace. It's more indie-ish than their other songs, meaning that I like it the least of anything that I've heard on their new album, but I guess given current trends, this song is better fit to do damage at alternative radio. The title track "Mercy" still feels like a better stunner to me. "Worst Things Beautiful" blends in more.
