Absolutely incendiary, immediately catchy first single from the album of the same name. It's their 14th album & it's getting pristine reviews...some of the highest of their career. This song could really catch on and become a bonafide hit on this format if only it had a willing radio or TV platform. It's actually extremely infectious (in a noncomplicated, unprententious way, trust me) and the lyrics have supreme novelty value (hilarious but intelligent). It's by far the most accessible thing Nick has done in AGES. The video! It's equally amazing...look at his beard! He reminds me of Ron Burgundy here. www.youtube.com/watch?v=7kV5XkBQsKUMy favorite lyrics: Well New York City man, San Francisco, LA, I don't know But Larry grew increasingly neurotic and obscene I mean he, he never asked to be raised from the tomb I mean no one ever actually asked him to forsake his dreams He ended up like so many of them do, back on the streets of New York City In a soup queue, a dopefiend, a slave, then prison, then the madhouse, then the grave

Excellent song! *looks for a download link*
I can't believe this actually alluded to the Lazarus of the bible. Clever.

Nick Cave looks like he wants to sell me a used car in that video. Still though, this song and the album are greatness. Ever since hearing this, I've went back and listened to older Cave/Bad Seeds and it boggles my mind why they aren't more well known here.
The Mercy Seat has to be one of the most epic songs of all time.

They gave Nick some kind of award at my university.
