• This is Maroon5's 44th week on. Since they're on the verge of falling off (though, with this chart, appearances can often be deceiving), it looks like they won't be breaking the longevity record. They've managed to secure second-place, bumping Blues Traveler's "Run-Around" (at 43 weeks) to third.
• Ryan played the "Spring Mix" of "Hold You Down". First time I've heard it. Yes, it is a completely different song.

Apparently not. (And, it's not yet the most played song at CHR/Pop, so...)

It was around #30 on the comparable pop+recurrents chart, so hopefully it's not getting the "My Happy Ending" treatment...

AT40 is about 2 weeks behind Mediabase, includes recurrents, and doesn't always match up with the overall panel.

On the CHR/Pop chart, a song becomes a recurrent once it has spent 20 weeks in the top 50 and is below #20.

I don't know, I think that just because it's not based verbatim on the R&R Pop chart doesn't mean it lacks any legitimacy whatsoever. I mean, it is playing current hits, and it is in the ballpark of the most played hits, the hell with what's recurrent or not. And sure, it does have a couple dinosaurs toward the bottom about every time, but really, so what?

If AT40's chart is weird, then so is the regular CHR/Pop chart. Really, the most noticeable difference is the lack of a recurrent rule. Which isn't "weird", per se.
