Dear Casey,
When I was a little girl, I was always sick. My mother was told that I would not live past 13. Then at 10 years-old, I was in a horrible accident that was supposed to prevent me from having children. During that time, my mother spent so much time at the hospital with me, she lost her job. When I turned 13, I came down with double pneumonia and even went code blue at one point, but I pulled through with my mom right along side me (losing yet another job to stay with me). Of course in addition to the health problems, I then put her through all my teenage problems, but she never left my side. When I was 22, I found the man of my dreams, and because of circumstances on his side, we could not be together. Again, my mother was there to help me through all my pain. My love finally came around and asked me to marry him, and my mother hesitantly let me go. A year later, I had my own angel who I named after my mother. I pray to be the same rock to my daughter as my mom has been to me. I'd like to dedicate "Angel" to both my mother and daughter so they know they will always be My Angels. Thank you so much.
