I'll admit it. I've never heard this band before. So i saw the adds date on FMQB for June 9th and took a listen....... Soooo not impressed. They are a D-level version of Avenged Sevenfold at best. I sure hope they have something better than this or this might be the last time I ever even bother to listen to this group. Anyone else who has heard them, let me know if they have anything else that would be worth listening to before finishing my judgment on them after just this one clip. song trailer at youtube www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmAqyPEpUT0&feature=user

My local rock station has been playing this a lot on their metal at midnight show. I'm not hearing the Avenged Sevenfold comparison. With the keyboards and electronic drums and absence of shredding guitar solos, they feel more like Filter or Stabbing Westward to me than A7X.

I dont think they really sound like them either....but it just has that feel that they want to be someone "like" them. It was mostly a comment on how much I think it sucks but that's just my opinion and honestly its taken from a short listen that just wasnt very impressive.

I remember hearing the song and liking it better than the youtube clip...nothing incredible, but I liked it better than the real metal stuff my station was playing like Devildriver and Cavalera Conspiracy. Then again, they also played Opeth's "Porcelain Heart" and All that Remains' "Six", so I guess I can't really complain. Those were pretty awesome. Anyway, if you're ever curious, you might wanna check out the entire song. My money is, you'd bring that D-level rating up to a C, but I suspect you have more valuable ways to spend your time on the internet, like posting here for example.

well that's kinda what im wondering, the clip on youtube is pretty crappy, so it might be better to hear the whole thing. I'm sure I will at some point, but i guess my biggest thing is I really dont see this one making much impact on Active or Alt......and its listed under modern rock for adds.

Interestingly enough, they were the first of four bands on the bill when I saw Avenged Sevenfold in a club 4 years ago for $10. (The other two bands in the middle were Alexisonfire and the Bled. Didn't know anything about any of these 3 opening bands at the time.)
I think their song "Heaven" was the single they were pushing at the time, but I don't remember how it goes. (It wasn't bad, though.)
Aside from the singer doing his best Billy Idol impressions (I think they even ended up covering something like "White Wedding" or "Rebel Yell" before their set was over :o), the thing I remember most about them is that either their guitarist or bassist was shirtless and had a large portrait of Yoda on one side of his chest.

This band used to sound a little more nu-metally, but on their new album I think they really borrow a lot from Static-X more than anyone.
