It's not even findable on the Mediabase chart, so I'd assume this really isn't the next single afterall.

I'd say there's a 99% chance that "You're Gonna Go Far, Kid" will be it. It's just lurking outside the Top 50, so they'd be just absolutely brilliant if they chose that one.

I wish they would've chosen "Half-Truism" or "Nothingtown", but I guess they recorded this track for a reason.

Good song, but I'd love to see "Stuff Is Messed Up" get a release at some point. Even if that means brutally censoring the chorus.

Top 50 on Mediabase Alternative:
65 50 OFFSPRING Kristy, Are You Doin... 170 111 59 1.186
Took awhile to reach top 40...Probably because "Kid "stills strong and plus this a ballad...
This has to go for adds to CHR/TOP 40...I believe it can crossover...

Should be #51 if "The Shock of the Lightning" hadn't been moved recurrent prematurely. (It should be #42.)

Should be #51 if "The Shock of the Lightning" hadn't been moved recurrent prematurely. (It should be #42.) It went top 20, and it was last in the 40s. How is that premature?

plus guys remember that mediabase likes to remove songs that fall off the top 40 and have really no chance of getting back in. Lots of times these songs arent even 20 weekers

On last week's chart it was #33. Isn't it 20 weeks AND under 20? That's what he was saying. Anyway, last week was only week 14 for "Shock of the Lightning." plus guys remember that mediabase likes to remove songs that fall off the top 40 and have really no chance of getting back in. Lots of times these songs arent even 20 weekers And they only started doing this last year. I feel it shortchanges the lesser songs and since there seems to be no rhyme or reason for these removals, other than a significant spin drop out of the Top 40 (there isn't a set number of spins), I personally add them back in where they should be on the personal records I keep of the Mediabase charts.

You can take its spin total off the recurrent chart and plug it into where it belongs on the current rolling chart.

Well I guess that does make it easier lol. I'm surprised I can access that page, I thought mediabase was pretty much shutting off it's access to anyone but paying members.

Hopefully this song will save the album's sales? I think it'd have to cross over to Pop or HAC for it to do that.

God that's extremely lame that Oasis would be about the 30th recurrent, too. It shows how much radio doesn't know how to ever get rid of a song. "The Pretender" and "Paralyzer" are particularly ridiculous.

I'll be extremely pissed if they get wise to that (if they aren't) and I have to start accepting their bulls**t premature recurrents because I have no clue where these songs should be anymore. Let us never speak of this again. "Kristy" isn't even that good of a song. "A Lot Like Me" is the superior power ballad (maybe even song) on R&FR&G.
