I don't know about you guys, but I really enjoyed the Toxicity album, however, I am so tired of everything and everyone having to do with this band. It's just the same thing OVER, and OVER again. Try something new, there's a reason why musi\artists from 1999-2002 is barely heard or had success after those years.
SOOOOO played...

Cause I'm pretty sure Mezmerize/Hypnotize went platinum, so you're not talking about System Of A Down. Or Linkin Park, Disturbed, Godsmack, Breaking Benjamin, Mudvayne, Chevelle, Staind, Papa Roach, Slipknot, Seether, Killswitch Engage, Stone Sour, Incubus, Coldplay, 3 Doors Down, Nickelback, Lifehouse, All-American Rejects, Coheed And Cambria, Interpol, Sum 41, I can go on like this. Was there a point you wanted to make?

That's great and there's nothing wrong with that. But there are plenty of us who enjoy everything they do and bought Serj's solo album and will be buying Scars on Broadway when it comes out. Really? Which artists specifically are you talking about? Cause I'm pretty sure Mezmerize/Hypnotize went platinum, so you're not talking about System Of A Down. And spun off plenty of Top 10 hits, don't forget.

And yes, the majority of those bands only have found success on Modern Rock, sweet you get played like 11 times a week. I mean....come on, majority of those bands are horrible.

Oh I get it, this is a list of bands you don't like! Well you should have said so. See, from the way you say you barely hear them anymore, I thought we were talking about bands that aren't successful and selling gold or platinum records, or at least in Interpol or Coheed's case managing a well-knit fanbase and gaining critical acclaim. But I get it, you've barely heard these bands anymore because you don't pay any attention to them! I get it now. Thank you for clearing that up.

I don't have much to add to what penance (or onemanarmy) has stated, but Active Rock as a format is dominated almost entirely by artists who were successful during nu-metal's introduction to the mainstream....the 1999-2002 breakthrough artists No Brakes was mentioning.
Scrolling through the alternative chart, here are the 1999-2002 breakthroughs I found in the top 50 for this week:
Coldplay, Linkin Park, Seether, 3 Doors Down, Disturbed, Puddle of Mudd, Theory of a Deadman, Jack Johnson, Buckcherry, Kid Rock
And active rock....
Disturbed, Seether, Linkin Park, 3 Doors Down, Puddle of Mudd, Theory of a Deadman, Tantric, Sevendust, Kid Rock, Rehab, Trapt, P.O.D.
Each of these artists' new records have scored smash success. Disturbed was #1 on the Billboard chart last week? 3 Doors Down still scoring pop success. Linkin Park scoring multiplatinum success with Minutes To Midnight. Seether with 2 consecutive Alternative & Active Rock #1 hits. Buckcherry bigger than ever before. Kid Rock scoring crossover success after making a somewhat unprecedented comeback with "So Hott." Puddle of Mudd regaining their lost success with a recurrent and a #1 hit. Godsmack headlining Rockfest 2008 (Kansas City) and almost going platinum with V (or did they go platinum?)
Think about it....the rock musical scene transformed in 1999-2002 and really hasn't changed significantly since then.
