No seriously........FMQB reports this goes for adds tomorrow.... at Modern..... It's from his new Best of release. I dont know why I find this so amusing, or that I find it more amusing that it doesnt have a release date for Mainstream. Just for fun, I'd totally like to see this song blow up. But it's not 1982 anymore, so its highly unlikely to get much more than nostalgia spins. www.youtube.com/watch?v=tx9uHMpD-KY

lmao.....oh Pic, if you dont know who John Wayne or Billy Idol are, then we have some serious talking to do.....I'm gonna assume you're totally joking.
But honestly I was waiting for someone to post that, the artist is, of course Billy Idol, since John Wayne is dead.....and not a singer.
I put the song in quotes now, so that should help

Yeah, but then again, anyone could create a band called "John Wayne" and write a song called "Billy Idol". But at first I thought it said "Billy Joel", who does classical music now, so I was really confused. ???

John Wayne is dead.....and not a singer. "John Wayne's not dead. He's frozen. And as soon as we find a cure for cancer we're gonna thaw out the Duke and he's gonna be pretty pissed off, ya know why? Have you ever taken a cold shower? Well multiply that by 15 million times, that's how pissed off the Duke's gonna be. I'm gonna get the Duke, and John Cassavetes, and Lee Marvin, and Sam Peckinpah, and a case of whiskey, and drive down to Texas and say--"

Billy Idol was great at one point- "Rebel Yell," "White Wedding"- but then "money, money" or whatever the hell it was- went to number one on the singles chart and he sold out big-time. All of a sudden, he started posing for covers of vapid magazines and acting like a Hollywood star. His appeal was he was punkish and a rebel- after his Hollywood make-over, he wasn't the same, stopped taking chances and he lost his fan base.

I finally got curious enough to listen to this.
It's actually pretty damn good. I might have to get this song. It's solid.

I love Billy Idol, I even met him once and he was very nice, I was once a big fan of him. I finally heard this song and I have to say honestly it's absolutely dreadful. Dumb lyrics, weak vocals and the melody is about as generic as it gets, a 9th grader could come up with something like that. No energy or confidence in it, it's actually embarrassing, it's so awful.
