Dear Casey,
My story is not your typical dedication. I send this warm greeting out into the universal stream of life with hopes Peter is doing well. We met 30 years ago at an Ivy League University, and as far as I can tell, he's now living in Oregon. Our's was a magical kind of meeting. We spotted each other from across the room at a mixer. Our eyes locked, and we began zigzagging through the crowd to meet in the middle. The conversation we had about our stick-on name-tags wasn't particularly titillating, but I'll never forget that Peter mentioned he was a mountain climber. In the coming months, little sparks flew between us, though we never dated. For me, there was so many wonderful things happening in my heart/my mind/in my life in general that those sparks blended into the busy landscape. However in the few encounters I did have with him, I felt in my heart that here was someone destined for spiritual greatness. So while I'm the one too afraid to fly, I see him gliding his way through the constellations. Hence, I'd like to dedicate the song "Drops of Jupiter" to Peter (My Ivy League Mountain Climber). And though I know it's a long shot that he'll hear this, I still want to wish him well. Sail on Peter! And Casey, thank you.
Love,
Susie Qusie
