I'm quite new here, so sorry if I'm asking thick questions.
What is the difference between the R&R Chart and the Mediabase chart?
Why do they have different dates on them?
Which one gets taken into the Hot 100 for Airplay and Overall Chart position purposes?

What is the difference between the R&R Chart and the Mediabase chart? A: The R&R chart uses BDS (Broadcast Data Systems). Billboard has used this data since the monitoring thing back in 1990. As you may know, Billboard purchased R&R and it's basically their company as well. Thus, R&R now uses BDS instead of Mediabase. BDS and Mediabase are sources that monitor radio airplay day by day AND minute by minute.
Why do they have different dates on them? A:I believe that they release their charts to the public on different days, I know that Mediabase release their information on Monday mornings.
Which one gets taken into the Hot 100 for Airplay and Overall Chart position purposes? A: If you guessed BDS, you are absolutely correct! They have used this data since 1991.
These are excellent questions, I am so glad to help. Have a blessed day!!!
