Seems like there are mixes of popular songs that don't get officially released. For example, both Madonna's "Material Girl" and Vanessa Hudgens' "Say OK" had great remixes of their songs in thier videos, but I can't find THOSE remixes anywhere....
Is there any other songs that have this problem? Can anyone prove me wrong with the video mixes listed above? I mean, I did find this version of Material Girl called the "Disconet Remix" which DOES feature the version used from the video, but it's horribly remixed with certain parts of the song put at different spots...the beats don't match up and it seems like it was recorded from a record, so it's sped up. And the closest I could get to Vanessa was the concert version of the "Say OK" track, which sounds obnoxious with the fake cheers and such...

The version used in the music video for "Material Girl" is called the Video Version. It's 4:43 in length. I saw it on several different discographies. I checked Discogs for release info. At first glance, I didn't see it, however, it could have been released.
I have this version, however it is directly the audio from the video with the dialogue and everything.
There are plenty of other songs that have had one version used in the video or on the radio that never saw a commercial release. I'll think of some other ones and post them here.
EDIT:
Just thought of another one. There's this one radio edit I hear on one of the local ACs of Madonna's "Like A Prayer." It's a little under 4 minutes long. It begins almost the same way as the album version with the guitar riff but it comes in a little sooner. It's different from the other versions because it has Madonna singing the 3rd chorus without the choir. This is after the "let the choirs sing" part. I have always wondered about that one. Maybe it came out on a promo or something. I dunno.

^^But the thing is with the Madonna one, I hear the video version played at my work every now and then, obviously without the dialogue at the beginning...I wonder where they got THAT version from...maybe it IS a radio version or something.

How is the Video Version of Material Girl a Remix ... it sounds like the Album Version to me. It sounds a bit punchier than the original. I never cared for that "remastered" version on Immaculate Collection.
