Dear Casey,
For years I've enjoyed listening to your Long Distance Dedications, but I never thought I'd be writing one until now. About a year ago, my friend Bucks was diagnosed with kidney failure & nothing could be done to save him. Bucks was my best friend of 13 years: our cat. I can't even tell you the countless hours we hung out together. The last precious weeks we had together: Bucks and I would lie on the floor & this one certain song would be playing on the radio. The words of the song were "lying together and making the world go away". A few weeks later, the world did go away for my little friend. But every time I hear this song, I always think of him and the great memories he'd given me and my wife for so many years. Casey, I'd like to request the song "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol. It would mean a lot to us. Thank you.
