I got the early release CD of the album this week. Very ballad-heavy it seemed. Stand might be the only big single, but this has had 8 spins on ACTIVE rock and 4 on MODERN over the past 7 days, so it may be next. Not terrible. But not memorable.

It may be next, but it's not a single.

It's getting airplay and it's a single song from the CD. Pretty much defines single. You seem to be confusing the term with the old 45s and CD singles. You can pretty much buy any single track from about any album from Rhapsody and Apple nowadays. And various cuts are played by stations all over the world. This is one of them.

I'm defining single as a song designated by the label and band as a single that goes for official adds to radio and can be found listed in places like FMQB and All Access and also is tracked by the Billboard charts. So no, that doesn't define single, not officially.

This forum is NOT your personal definition of what a single is or isnt. It is specifically in the regulations of this forum defining what is considered worthy of inclusion. If you dont like it, start your own board.

No problem. But if I hear it on the radio and it's for sale, it's a single. You just need to worry about if you like the song or not and talk about it. Not trying to make up rules. So have your heard the Candlebox CD that came out? Or the single? Or are you just in for the crying like the other guy?

Can I ask you why you're so unwilling to follow the rules and have some respect for where you are? Are you trying to be a rebel, a simpleton, or just a jackass? What pisses me off so much is that you think you are above the rules. I'm not. I follow the rules to a T, because I respect this place. And if I have to follow the rules, then so does everyone else, because otherwise it's not very fair, is it? Rules are there for a reason.
