Sorry if this is just of local interest (lived in Charlotte for 7 years), but noticed that their Rhythmic station WIBT has Realize by Colbie in rotation 56x a week, I Kissed A Girl by Katy Perry 58x a week, and Jesse McCartney "Leavin" 82x a week...just wonderin if it looked like they might be movin towards CHR (since their ratings are laggin behind WNKS by such a big margin...)
Kinda ironically, they're playin Realize 3x as much as WNKS (the mainstream CHR), and it's not any kind of remix either

A rhythmic station in Las Vegas is playing "I Kissed A Girl" and "Leavin'" is quite rhythmic, so that's not too big of a stretch. "Realize" may not be a stretch either, but I don't know how many other rhythmics are playing it. It could be that WIBT is doing what rhythmics used to do: play hits when they become really big, regardless of genre, a la B96 Chicago playing "Ironic" when that song was in its heyday.

I think Rob Wagman is going for the "Hits and Hip Hop" approach with WIBT. Probably a good move, all things considered.
