90s this week is 1991 (for the first time since the last week of March) And thanks to a slight shift in the calendar since 2020, we end up getting a brand new chart from this show. Similarly, the 80s countdown avoids a much-overplayed chart by shifting ahead one week and giving us a chart they haven't touched in ten years. In other words, we got good selections from both shows by the skin of our teeth this week!

And the 70s this week is.... 1976, just four weeks after their last trip to that year. P2K is 2008 I wonder if there maybe a change. Usually the seventies goes a minimum of five weeks between featuring a year. Then I heard of them going at least three months between featuring 1976. We should be getting a show from 1970 real soon.

So Fly played R Kelly this week, but they skipped him last week? Talk about inconsistent.

This week’s Pop2Kountdown, from July 24th, 2004: I haven't realized it until just recently, but 2004 may be one of the most loaded years for music ever.

A nice surprise this weekend with 1994, a year that was *not* played exactly two years ago. And since they featured 8/13/94 two years ago, we should see another break in the pattern in two weeks. (My prediction is, we'll get 1995 which had been expected this week.)
