At least next week's VJ Big 40 will *not* be a repeat for a change. Then there will be 1985 and a special. If they start off 2024 with 1980 or 1988, either choice will yield a repeat. I wonder what will this years new years special will be. Hopefully they do 88 and not a repeat of 1980 which was done this past January I would only be in favor of a 1980 repeat under these conditions: 90s does 1990 Pop2k does 2000 The final week of the year 80s does 1989, 90s does 1999 and pop2k does 2009. But Sirius doesn't have that level of cleverness so not gonna happen.

90s this week is 1994 No P2K this week, it seems (they’re doing some sort of Summer Hits thing instead) Do you by chance a have list of the songs that were playing during the Summer Hits thing?

If they do 1985 next weekend, we will most likely get 12/28/85 with the recent pattern being used. So what will that mean if they go with 1988 the weekend of 12/29, unless a special countdown is used otherwise?

They likely won't be playing #1 this week R Kelly had 10 weeks at #1 during the 90's . if they insist on not playing his songs they should at least time the countdowns to weeks when he is not #1.

39 DE HAMILTON, JOE FRANK AND REYNOLDS - WINNERS AND LOSERS
The 70's cut off most of the song only to insert a 70s on 7 jingle. What happened there?

So, we're back to repeating the same year as 2022 on the 90s countdown. Bad week to do that, as instead of repeating last year's 12/19/98 chart, we got a fourth-time repeat of 12/12/98 instead. There was no way we were getting a good option there.

I could see if it was 79 and they didn't play the previous weeks top 3 or something to shorter the shows

Yeah, I wish they bring that show on demand at least through the holiday.
Then I am sure there are Christmas specials on demand now.

This week’s Back in the Day Replay is from December 12th, 1998
That means we are past the point where airplay only singles become eligible to chart on the hot 100.

But that would eliminate all of December 98 Lately the 90s has been inconsistent with R Kelly. They played a song he was featured on in the last episode from 1999. Now they resume blocking him. THIS MAKES NO SENSE!

If they do 1985 next weekend, we will most likely get 12/28/85 with the recent pattern being used. So what will that mean if they go with 1988 the weekend of 12/29, unless a special countdown is used otherwise? I guess they'd go with 1/2/88 but I doubt they do that We will find out Friday but I almost guarantee it will be a repeat. I think I seen 12/21 or 12/28 before somewhere on this thread.
