Seems like 1988 keeps getting put in the forefront of the 10-year rotation. Ideally, we want Nov 12, 1988 and hopefully, 1986 before next month to avoid the extremely overplayed Dec 6, 1986 chart

For the 1984 chart, they played different versions of BOP ‘TIL YOU DROP, THE WAR SONG and the Canadian version of IT AIN’T ENOUGH.

This week’s Big 40 Countdown is a repeat from 2021, from October 14th, 1989: Next week, it'll be all about 1980! This is a wild guess, but maybe they went with Oct 14 instead of the 21st because they realized no other dates would have been filled in between numbers corresponding to dates of Oct 10-19, leaving a gap of Oct 9 1982 chart and Oct 21, 1989.

I’ve been keeping tabs all the way back to 2012 when they first started using the billboard hot 100 charts. 1981 has the least amount of charts that have been used, including upcoming this week, and 1988 with the most that have never been used, lacking thereof are from January to March 1988 charts. I want to see many new charts being used by next year. Not sure if this will change anytime soon.

Hopefully we're done with 88 for 2024 and we'll get a January chart but I could see them squeezing one in during the holidays
