Considering their album sales, I'm not expecting much success from this. I'm troubled that people always equate album sales to success of radio singles. They are not perfectly correlated at all, and there are plenty of examples of this on the pop chart now and in previous years. Generally radio doesn't play 2nd and 3rd singles from flop albums.

After the smash of "Incomplete", I predict an Top 20 for this one.

Generally radio doesn't play 2nd and 3rd singles from flop albums. The albums has been out for about a couple of weeks, and it's already labeled a "flop" album? And what about Gavin DeGraw? That album has not sold well, yet pop and HAC have put both his second and third singles into the top 20. My point is - let's not just write it off because the album didn't debut at #1.

Anyways, my point is, this album will struggle to sell 1million copies MINIMUM. Its only in its 2nd week and its weekly sales are below 100k Sorry to say, the boy band/teeny bopper era is over.

I hear the resemblance, but everytime I hear this, all I can do is picture as a Shrek song.

A 75% sales decrease in the 2nd week does not look good to PDs.

Exactly and thats what I think people were trying to point out. And I wouldnt call Incomplete a SMASH HIT either. A hit yes, but I dont think it was huge enough to guarantee another huge hit. The album IS underperforming a little at this moment and anyone who says it is not is crazy. That could easily be turned around if this becomes a hit and sparks more sales...because it has only been out for two weeks and its too soon to say that it is completely finished.

Its add date is on July 19. The video should come in August then. I'm wondering how the video will be like.

I think I like this song. Heard it 3 times today on BLI for the first time. Much better than the Incomplete ballad crap!

It does sounds a lot like SUBG... follows the same pattern, as well as similar production. Although this would be a watered down version... and not nearly as catchy.

Well, it IS very similar to SUBG. But when I first listened to it, it reminded me of Roxette. Like the song for the same reason.

My radio station Z103.5 is also playing "Crawling back to you" instead of this.

What's gonna happen with BSB? After a 75 percent decrease in sales after a two-week release, will they find success? Probably not with this single...I liked Incomplete alot better. BSB can't shake the teen phase...they would probably have more success now if they were an up-and-coming band.

I honestly think they're going to break up after this album wraps up (prolly sooner rather than later). I appreciate that they got back together in order to give their fans closure, and I like the majority of the album, but I think this next tour should be their last.
I agree that this song sounds a hell of a lot like "Since U Been Gone", and by that measure it should be a decent-sized hit. But if the biggest chr/pop station in the country is already going with another album track, they should switch. It doesn't seem like any promotion for this has began yet, so if I was Jive i'd just put out "Crawling Back to You" instead and start pushing it ASAP. Like, in the next two weeks at most. If they wait another month, the album is going to be *completely* dead. Now it's just dying.

I dunno, but I can see this being a hit for some reason. The album may be flopping but so what? THis song has potential. And so what if the album is flopping? What does it really have to do with this song?

Because isn't there a correlation between how quickly / how strongly a song gets added and the hype or strength of sales of an album? If people don't give a crap about the Backstreet Boys anymore (which, indicated by album sales, seems to be the case to some degree) then radio isn't gonna jump all over it because they could get a better response by playing someone else's song.

Yah but i don't think it'll matter when people start liking this song and requesting it when they hear it on the radio. Also, there's many cases where albums flop but singles do well. Like in Fat Joe's case for instance. His album is doing awful but his song is still getting played on radio.

If this were an amazing song, I guess I'd agree with you.
It's completely standard and nothing special, and factor that in with the fact that their album is plummeting down the charts, no one gives a crap about their tour, they're widely considered as "washed up" and a joke, and I'd say it's pretty clear it will be a uphill battle if this song is going to do anything on radio.

This is such a great song and I like it a hell of a lot more than "Incomplete"
With that said, I'm not holding out much hope for this.

115 71 BACKSTREET BOYS Just Want You To Kno... 2005 Jive/Zomba Label Grp 170 50 120 2.363 Its starting off pretty good. It'll go Top 30 just because its the bsb's and since Incomplete went top 10. I think it'll peak around #25.
