Goes for adds on Active August 4th. I guess "We Don't Have to Look Back Now" didn't have the desired impact.

First Ashes Divide, now this? Is the new trend scrapping your singles before they even have impact?

I think this is a dumb move, although honestly, there aren't very many more single worthy songs on the album. They should've waited on this though.

I agree with driving with the windows down listening to this. It's much like Famous was for me last summer. I often blasted that. I think Moonshine and Radiate could be singles. much like other bands do, release a fourth single to put on the airwaves between albums without touring to support it.

This may jump to number one or two on my list from this band when it charts on Modern.
My favorite five Modern singles from Hoobastank : Running Away, Inside Of You, Remember Me, Crawling In The Dark, The Reason.

Nope we be talking about Puddle Of Mudd here, not Hoobastank, Puddle Of Mudd, the post-grunge band, Puddle of Mudd, the band that sings "Blurry" and "She Hates Me", Puddle Of Mudd

Call it a remix. Check out the new Hoobastank topic and you'll get it.

Proceed to hound me, oh post-grunge haters and self-proclaimed musical elitists, for hailing Puddle of Mudd like I do.
Blurry A- She Hates Me A- Drift and Die A- Heel over Head A- Psycho A- Spin You Around A- Famous B Control B We Don't Have To Look Back Now B Away From Me C+ Livin' On Borrowed Time C+

^^^^Um, I'm not sure why the word 'H A T E R S' has been placed in the PMB editor-box, but that's what I was trying to say.

I knew WDHTLBN had flop written all over it. They needed to go with Radiate as the power ballad single, even if it is a cheap Blurry rip off, it would have been far more successful. This should do very well on Active, maybe not Alt though.

I knew WDHTLBN had flop written all over it. Tell that to the Hot AC crowd. It did better there than on alt. or active.

It's funny how they're promoting this song as the follow-up to "Psycho", basically pretending "We Don't Have To Look Back Now" never happened.

I like Puddle of Mudd because of nostalgia for my younger days. I listened to their Come Clean album through and through several dozen times throughout late 2001 and 2002. Also, they formed (although Wes, at least, does not reside) in my hometown, so there's the local factor as well. I can't help but compare their singles to other singles....Just to name a few:
"Away From Me" - the water movement toward the end of the song, while you're looking up at Wes's face as he is performing strongly resembles scenes of "Come As You Are" and Kurt Cobain/Nirvana.
"We Don't Have To Look Back Now" - resembles "Everyone" by Socialburn....'coming unglued' they have mentioned a couple times before
"Famous" - money for nothing/chicks for free, "coming apart at the seams" resembles a line from "Heel Over Head"
"Livin' On Borrowed Time" - the chorus sounds similar to "Get Free" by the Vines
OK, OK....I'll stop ripping POM for their copycat tendencies. In music today, it's almost become commonplace. Several more bands that I love (RHCP instantly come to mind) have committed the same felonies. Maybe their lyrics will always be a bit questionable....and then there's the whole Kurt Cobain/Wes Scantlin issue....but, come on! They're Puddle of Mudd!!!

Is it weird that I actually like WDHTLBN better than this? Either way, they all pale in comparison to Psycho. Wasn't this supposed to be the original album title?

^Yes, and I find it odd that they changed the album title literally at the very last minute. I mean, during the chart run of "Famous", they were promoting the album as "Livin*g* on Borrowed Time", weren't they (with the 'G'?) Then, I vaguely remember that they dropped the "g" before just deciding on "Famous."
I found "WDHTLBN" to be a pretty pleasing ballad, actually. Definitely a nice change of pace considering every single they had released prior had its hard moments (even "Blurry", "Heel Over Head", and "Spin You Around").

After all this time, it's gonna take Puddle of Mudd to knock Puddle of Mudd out of the top 20 and into recurrent status.

They didn't even bother to play this live two weeks ago.
The only bright spot in their set was when Wes brought his angsty, "dude" quotient down and slipped in a portion of "Summer Nights" (from the Grease soundtrack) into the middle of the otherwise ever-loathsome "She Hates Me."
I'm not 100% on this, but I feel now like "Summer Nights" is why the main guitar line in SHM always had that familiar air to it.
