*** (3 stars)
Timeless isn't so much a case of "Hasn't he done this before?" as it is a case of "So...this must be what he does now." Unless you count the gospel half of 2006's Uncovered/Covered, one of the two albums Lattimore has recorded with wife Chanté Moore, he has not released an album of new material since 2001's Weekend. That Timeless is another set lacking in fresh material must be a point of soreness for the singer's fans, but, taken on its own, the disc is hardly worth disregarding. Lattimore's selections for covers are, once again, balanced between certified classics and pleasantly surprising picks that will always be in need of more attention, and they span decades. He does Michael Henderson and Norman Connors particularly proud on "You Are My Starship" — tied with L.T.D.'s "Love Ballad" and Marvin Gaye's "I Want You" as the male-led mid-'70s soul ballad — even teasing out a little more vulnerability from the original. Given Lattimore's gently soaring and unforced falsetto, Jeff Buckley's "Everybody Here Wants You" is the most inspired choice of the set, his light accents enhancing (rather than bogging down) the performance. When done live, garments will no doubt shower the stage. The set could have used another upbeat track or two — a swagger-packed "That's the Way Love Is" is a standout — and a couple tracks are either tentative or dry ("And I Love Her", "Ain't No Way"). - Andy Kellman, AMG

That debut is lackluster.

^At least he did better than his wife. That is true. I did not think about that. I do not know what their next steps should be because they are both still relatively young, but the music is not working well.

Has been, you're mean. That's uncalled for; albeit it's slightly funny.

Don't tell me that they are divorcing. This is one couple I was hoping had what it takes to endure the strains and struggles of marriage.

Kenny Lattimore Breaks Barriers In Africa R&B crooner Kenny Lattimore made a major milestone during a recent tour to Africa. The Washington, DC-bred singer is the first U.S. artist since the late James Brown in 1974 to perform in Zambia this century. Lattimore, who typically tours Africa twice a year, said he “had a blast” on his recent tour that had him playing to crowds of 20,000 to 30,000 people nightly. “The most powerful moment was sitting with several Zambian artists encouraging them to continue cultivating their dreams. I am constantly fascinated by how music transcends culture, distance and time. The idea of various generations in a country thousands of miles away from my home being touched by my music is very humbling,” said Lattimore. The newly-divorced singer – he was married to R&B singer Chante Moore – is currently retooling his forthcoming CD, which was previously called “Back To Cool.” The revamped album will now be called “Being One” and is slated to bow in 2014. In 2013, Lattimore released a single called “Find A Way” that was a Top 20 single at Urban Adult Contemporary radio.

His album, Vulnerable came out today.
It sounds pretty good. I actually loved what I heard on iTunes. I'll be buying this. It's short and solid throughout, I enjoyed almost all of the songs.

I kinda miss him being with Chante Moore. They were like the RnB Faith Hill and Tim McGraw.
