It's a good add for Sirius, but I think XM's got them beat on the international front with U-Pop. U-Pop isn't limited to what's popular in Britain, although a lot of the songs they play are popular there. U-Pop will play an occasional foreign language hit and I don't see BBC Radio 1 doing that.

It's not about hearing a wide variety of Pop songs. It's about being in touch with the UK and through its main radio station. Radio 1 is more of a HAC format anyway. Radio 2 is their Pop station.
This is exciting news!

This is exciting news! Well I didn't mean that it was a bad thing for Sirius. On the contrary, this, along with the excellent Sirius Hits 1, makes me a lot more likely to get the service. But given the choice between a limited selection of British hits and a variety of the world's hits, I'll take XM's U-Pop. Just a personal preference.

Sirius Hits 1 (I just call it Top 40 Hits; it's just easier for me somehow) is an excellent station. I prefer it over Z100 anyday, but then again, I believe these satellite stations can have huge playlists, while these local or regional stations are limited to 30 or so new songs at a time. Which really sucks.

Sirius had sent an e-mail out telling everyone Radio 1 finally had been added to the Sirius family, and I turned on my tv and put it on! It's really cool hearing foreign music somewhere else other than my PC.
One thing I don't like is that unlike the other stations of Sirius, they don't write in the name of the artist and the song.
