I have to disagree with you there. You and this board may like her Pop/Rock songs but its pretty clear that the general public doesn't. I mean look at WYWF and Cool, both of them underperformed while "RG" and "HBG" were MASSIVE in Airplay AND Downloads. So I think that maybe the public likes her Urban/Pop stuff more than her Pop/Rock stuff. LOL... No Doubt was and still is huge. HBG had no longevity... it's not going to be played 10 years from now the way "Don't Speak" is being played. Heck, I'd say that within the next year, HBG will fall below Don't Speak in weekly spins.

This song came on in one of the bars I was at this weekend and totally killed the energy of the place for 5 minutes. Everyone like left the dancefloor to go get another drink.

Nope different nights, but close! The night this happened I was the DD and didn't even get to drink :( So I had all reflexes in full tact and was able to make the observation of the reaction this song lol.

It looks like Gwen was photoshopped into the video.

I can't believe I'm now adoring this piece of shit. It's called the "Gotta Getcha [JD]" effect -> you know it's crap but after 3 listens, it stuck in your head & youadore hit.

I love this song now. I like the rhythmic synths in the background and the chorus is SO HOT!

I saw the video today and it was also my first time hearing the song. My first reaction is what is Gwen's purpose in this train wreck song? My second reaction: It looks like Gwen was photoshopped into the video.

Ehh. This had the potential to be so much better.
I wish they would have written Gwen a bigger part. I really think this was just done last minute as a thanks to Pharrell for his work on "Hollaback Girl" and in hopes of him getting some pop airplay. Don't get me wrong I like the beat and the song but I expected better.
The video is kind of cool how it's like a movie trailer, but once again I wish Gwen had a bigger part.
The way it looks so far this could flop. It's not doing too hot at pop, urban, or rhythmic. And it hasn't even made the itunes top 100 yet.

I would've thought that if Gwen was willing to use her popularity to help Pharell get a hit, that he would've given her a part that couldn't be replicated by a Speak-and-Spell.

#5 on bubbling under the hot 100. This may make the chart soon but I don't see it doing well. It's taking too long to take off.

I have no idea how, but this debuts at #3 in the UK! I remember the first midweeks had it at like #9. isn't Westlife's cover of "You Raise Me Up" still #1 there? I rest my case. maybe this week everyone in the UK decided to buy songs that suck.

I have no idea how, but this debuts at #3 in the UK! :o WOW Gwen's singles don't even debut that high there. In the U.S. some new remixes of this were just released to itunes.

That would actually improve the song quite a bit. :) Wouldn't even be the first time a Speak-and-Spell was used in a Pharell song. There's one used in the remix to N.E.R.D.'s "Maybe". As dumb as the Gwen part of the song is though, this is growing on me. The beat is infectious.

I'm kinda surprised this flopped. Even thought the song isn't the greatest, by the collab alone, this song should've been a hit.

Does anyone have a video of the AMA performance? www.greenerpastures.us has one. I think this peaked at #49 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was barely played on pop and received little airplay on rhythmic and urban. His album was supposed to come out Nov. 15 but got put back to Dec 13 :o I wonder if it is because of lack of interest?
