It's a bit too early to call a "flop" for this song, especially with such a vague and subjective term. It may get the Progressive formats interested in this band at least.

Hmm. Just listened to the song for the first time. This is slightly different sounding than I'm Not Over, but I like it. I don't see this flopping, but I also don't see shooting up the chart like a rocket. I predict it will peak somewhere between 10-25 on Alternative.

I would say this would do about as well as Blue October's "Into The Ocean".

I reckon this should also get added to Hot AC.. Agreed. I think this would do pretty well on there. I'm not sure why "I'm Not Over" didn't either, but this song seems like it would be more suitable for Hot AC.

Atlantic dropped the ball on that one. Fun fact: Most of this band is Swedish.

Yeah except for the singer. xP I think they should've gone with "Coming to Terms", this is a good song, but it doesn't get anywhere near INO for me. Beautiful World should get a release at some point as well.

Current and probably final peak for this one:
#28 on Modern Rock.
I don't know what happened but this appeared on iTunes top 100 from nowhere and same with "I'm Not Over". Maybe they peformed those songs at some Tv show.
Current positions at iTunes:
51. Show Me What I'm Looking For - Carolina Liar 92. I'm Not Over - Carolina Liar
I saw "Show Me What I'm Looking For" in the upper 40's about two days ago. At the same time, "I'm Not Over" was in the 70's.
This may result in a Hot 100 debut for "Show Me What I'm Looking For".

They performed them on 90210, and that episode was one of the highest watched episodes in months.

I just want to say that I think it's a crime that that show even exists. Is this what we've been reduced to, America?

^Even though the thread is closed, you can still vote. I would like to take this time to beg everyone to vote for the Beatles haha.
That sad thing is, the girls that started the thread obviously wasn't joking. I think this is like her first day or something, because earlier I saw she started a thread saying she was bored because people weren't even posting 100 times a day lol.

"I'm Not Over" never did much for me and I'd already heard "Show Me What I'm Looking For" at least 3-4 times during my Alternative station's overnight rotation, but I was always online at the time, so I kind of took it for granted. Then I heard it in full again on my resurrected secondary Alternative station on the 2-hour drive to my parents' house a couple weeks ago. And fucking wow, is that a beautiful song. Why didn't anybody tell me they had at least one song that good. I totally would've gone to see them at their poorly planned/promoted/marketed 21+ show up the block from my job last summer if I'd only known.
The best description of this song that I can come up with offhand is if the Killers covered a really solid Fray song. If the Fray could have two Top 10 Pop hits 2-3 years ago, I don't see why this song couldn't do the same if given the opportunity. So I'm glad to know it apparently received more exposure the other night on that new 90210 series. That show is justified now, if only for that one episode.

Nicholas, I let you know that Carolina Liar put on a pretty good show September 2 in the thread for I'm not Over. So have you gotten out to see InnerPartySystem or Shiny Toy Guns yet?

They haven't come to town. (But why the hell are Shiny Toy Guns playing the Cornerstone Festival this summer? Since when are they a Christian band? Or since when did Cornerstone allow secular acts?)

^That is interesting. Good to see that cornerstone is allowing other bands to perform. But I wonder how they'll go about singing their explicit lyrics there.

But I wonder how they'll go about singing their explicit lyrics there. I'd forgotten they even had explicit lyrics until you said something. Am I forgetting something besides the one f-bomb in "Le Disko"?

I wish this would take off already. It's a great song. If this does become a hit, I hope they release "Coming To Terms" next. That's the best song on the album.
