Alphabeat's fifth UK single, "What Is Happening" will be released in the UK on November 24, 2008. This time, Simmons & Christopher, and Ultrabeat are on the remix tip. Will Alphabeat ever get a decent vocal house remix? Le sigh.

2008 was the year when pop found its mojo and rediscovered its swagger, and if one band deserves the credit for this then it has to be Alphabeat. Over the last twelve months these six Danes have reminded us that bands can be amazing live, write their own songs and be truly credible whilst still being proudly POP.
'What Is Happening' is taken from the band's debut album "This Is Alphabeat" which is certified gold with over 125,000 copies sold! The single follows top 10 hit "Fascination" (which has sold over 250,000 copies) and top 20 hits "Ten Thousand Nights" and "Boyfriend".
A bitter sweet anthem, "What Is Happening" is a sing-a-long highlight from the band's live shows and shows the twin vocals of Stine Bramsen and Anders SG at their magical best, whilst Anders B (guitar), Rasmus Nagel (keyboards), Anders Reinholdt (bass) and Troels Hansen (drums) drive the track on to a frenzied climax. Remixes come in a variety of modern disco flavours from Ultrabeat and Simmons & Christopher.
After a summer playing across all of Europe's major festivals, Alphabeat head out on their biggest UK tour to date this October. Playing 18 dates across the country, the band have recently added an extra show at London's Shepherds Bush Empire due to demand. After this the band are heading out to America for the first time, and will be supporting their new friend Katy Perry on her US tour. Hold on to your hats America.
