^Yeah, it's only sold over 700K. That sucks arse. That isn't that great but I don't think people expected her to pass the 500k to begin with. Maybe is she took some time off with her next album... another season on MTV... who knows. A platinum album considering the whole scandal seems fine. She still has 2 more singles to go so she can definetly hit 1 million sold soon. |

I think she can come back from this. Jessica's second album also flopped big time but she came back with "In This Skin" - she wasn't a nationwide punchline either though. If Ashlee does a new season on MTV and records another "Autobiography" with solid songs that are relateable and takes her time she could have a hit. "I Am Me" was rushed and just wasn't as good. The whole "Autobiography" album was extremely easy to relate to for a lot of people while "I Am Me" was a little out there. Ashlee's core audience is teenagers and they want songs that they can sing along to and understand. "Burnin Up" and "Eyes Wide Open" didn't do that.

The dumb thing about this is that Ashlee was always talentless, even pre-SNL, yet radio had no problem with playing "Pieces of Me" every five seconds. (Granted, "L.O.V.E." sucks balls, but "Boyfriend" was pretty good). On her TV show you could obviously see her struggling to hit notes in the studio, and prior to SNL I saw multiple TV performances where she lipsynched badly but was lucky enough to not have the backing track screw up. Yet they loved her and she was perfectly fine before that. Now is when Ashlee sucks, she was perfectly great before; when she was never great in the first place. It's so hypocritical of radio.

I heard the Missy Elliott remix- was *that* really necessary? And are stations playing that version more than the regular one? WKRZ in Northeast PA is playing the remix now.

Agree and I also think "I Am Me" is better than "Autobiography." It's a more personal album with songs like: "Boyfriend," "Beautifully Broken," "Catch Me When I Fall," "I Am Me," and "Say Goodbye."

wow so basically this song is done on pop radio. None of her songs after the SNL thing will ever be successful on pop radio. She will have to depend on sales now. I think it will peak somewhere in the top 15 because it will get higher sales than Boyfriend

"I Am Me" would be a great "kiss my Ass" single to radio, and the haters. I think she should release "In Another Life" because it's that great that it should be put out. I have a feeling she'll release "Catch Me When I Fall" though.
