hmm i though this would have a big hit for her ala Pieces of Me i guess radio still hasnt gotten over the SNL thing because this had hit written all over it. Whats more surprising thought its that it hasnt lost it bullet

It reached #22 on the hot 100, i wasn't expecting get to go top 40 so she has vastly exceeded my expectations, even if she's charted mostly from sales. Don't think there was ever hope of radio soppurt.

She keeps scoring somewhat decent hits on the Hot 100 but only because of sales. She has no airplay at all, and airplay is what drives album sales and so cleary shes a flop there.

I was hoping Ashlee would pull a Natasha with this one. (1st hit opens the doors (Boyfriend or These Words)) and 2nd hit becomes bonafide in the Top 10 of The Hot 100 like Unwritten. Did this get more airplay than Boyfriend though? Or did that have higher sales to reach Top 20? Or was it just more competetive when L.O.V.E was charting? Well, at least sales stablized.

I really hope Ashlee will go ahead and release "I Am Me" because ya know what, she should use it to prove to radio she's not going to cater to their needs.
Hell, make a video and completely diss radio because its what they deserve. And she won't change for anyone but her. Its the one thing I will always love her for. She won't cater and slut it up like her sis did.

This isn't gonna peak high but it sure has longevity. It's better to stay forever with a low bullet than rise, peak, and then drop like a rock in less than 2 months. It's hard to believe this still even has a bullet.

How many weeks has this song hovered at the #30/#31 mark on the CHR/Pop? It certainly feels like it has been weeks. Well, I don't know about CHR/Pop, but I did some digging and found some stuff of L.O.V.E. on Billboard's Top 40 Mainstream (which is practically the same thing) and it has been stuck in a rut for a long time. It's been bulleted every week though January 7, 2006: #37 January 14, 2006: #35 January 21, 2006: #35 January 28, 2006: #35 February 4, 2006: #35 February 11, 2006: #34 February 18, 2006: #30 February 25, 2006 #29 |

^Why are you surprised? Both singles underperformed when it comes to airplay, but they were HUGE in sales and video play. That TRL promotion can help a lot.
