I could see her going to PLJ after her contract is up, assuming the Citadel beancounters are willing to shell out a little money.

I could see her going to PLJ after her contract is up, assuming the Citadel beancounters are willing to shell out a little money. PLJ would certainly be an interesting shift! Didn't she used to work at a hip hop station before Z100? I remember in 2005 she got all excited when she played that Trina song because "I used to play her raw stuff at my old station but never thought I'd be playing her here!" and then I heard her reacting similarly this year when introducing "Lollipop." I actually do think she'd work out well on PLJ though.

I actually didn't know that, but you're right. I just looked at her Myspace and she got her start from an Urban station in Houston. That said, it seems like CHR veterans usually end up at Hot AC after they've put in a certain number of years at CHR. It certainly worked that way for Z100 veterans Scott Shannon and Patti Steele (both at PLJ now). I feel like she'd be more valuable to PLJ because her older Z100 listeners would be more likely to follow her over there than to say, Hot 97.

Scott Shannon and Patti Steele! Wow- some major forgotten memories of riding the school bus to 5th grade just came back with the mention of those two names. lol
I think PLJ may be a big option for her, but I wouldn't be surprised if she gets picked up at a CHR in Chicago or Los Angeles or something, maybe even Boston or Philadelphia. I guess it all depends on whether she wants to continue calling New York home or if she's the type willing to go wherever the career takes her.

Yeah I could see that, except for one thing: Who owns the CHRs in Chicago, LA, Boston, and Philadelphia? That's right... same company that stuffed Seacrest down Z100's throat. These days, it's tough to get a job in CHR middays, and those stations mostly have heritage morning and afternoon shows.

Several of the former Y100 DJs moved to Coast. Kenny Walker who was at Y100 for 10-15 years now does 2-7 on Coast.
