I'm not a big fan of them either, but it's going to be madness in Canada. In addition to them touring later this summer, they're getting quite the push on MuchMusic - they've been announced as not only performers, but co-hosts for their annual Video Awards on June 21. Notably, this is the first time in the history of the event that the channel has given co-hosting duties to anyone else besides their VJs/personalities.

Rare exceptions:
Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny) - made Top 40 for 3 weeks (#38 peak) but instead of getting purged, was left to slide down below the Top 100.

But not understandin the process cause guessin Archuleta still has minimal spins somewhere...maybe it's the size of their drops (i. e. LOATR has been inchin down the Top 50 for months so maybe Mediabase was never sure when to take it out...)

Bad Girlfriend somehow regained its bullet following the recent changes to the CHR panel, but since it peaked in the '40s it was taking its time moving down.

Archuleta also peaked in the '40s with "A Little Too Not Over You". Until recently, he was moving down slowly and then it was just in the last week or so when his drop got larger. Since he's no longer inside the Top 100, he's still charting below the Top 100 and therefore did not get purged since it never reached the Top 40.

Generally, but not always the case, in CHR at least, songs that reach the Top 40 are subject to getting purged once they've fallen out of the Top 40 and lose a number of spins that it becomes impossible for them to rebound - in under 20 weeks. If they stay insde the Top 40 for 20 weeks or more, then they go recurrent rather than being purged. And on that note, if a song remains in the Top 20 beyond the 20-week limit, then it automatically goes recurrent once it falls below #20.

Not at all! Let's use as an example another famous song in Pulse ;)

David Archuleta - "A Little Too Not Over You"
As of April 12, 2009, he is still charting despite being "unbulleted":

The issue here is that David NEVER reached the Top40 portion of the Pop chart, therefore is NOT subject to becoming recurrent or even being purged.
It has already happened before with other songs. Probably the best example of this situation happened with another David (and NO! just in case it's not Cook!):

David Guetta & Chris Willis - "Love Is Gone"
That song reached #41 on May 11, 2008
On the chart as of March 15th, 2009 it was still charting:
87 100 DAVID GUETTA & CHRIS WILLIS Love Is Gone Ultra 40 55 -15 0.189
Obviously, no purge despite the longevity!
By the way, this song managed to reach #40 for 3 days before Sunday. However, since that peak was UNOFFICIAL (it was not inside the Top 40 on Sunday evening), then the rules of purge did not apply for it, since its official peak was #41.

Oh, and beware that if you don't see a song in the thread CHR/POP Top 50 mediabase chart(UPDATED DAILY)
