Thanks for the numbers, very well appreciated. Did he give any reason why this would be the last time? He's said that numerous times before that I don't even know what to think anymore. Yeah, I know he's said that before. I questioned that, too. He says that the numbers are not as popular anymore and it's a pain in the ass editing them. Just a suggestion: I'm not so sure about the numbers not being popular anymore. There are posters on this board who are still interested in them every now and then. And if it's too much trouble to edit them, then there's someone else who could be willing to do it. All he would have to do is just copy #51-100 on a document and send it as an E-mail attachment. Honestly, I could try out editing it for a week and then see how it goes. But I guess it is what it is; if he doesn't want to post them anymore, that's obviously his decision. I'm not quite inclined to believe that's the case and it won't surprise me the least bit if we see another post again soon.

I think he just wants credit. He feels if somebody else edits the numbers, he won't get credit. I think the whole topic where admin Matt made the chart and nobody even acknowledged him suppying the numbers traumatized him pretty badly. I would definitely settle for a copy and pasted list; I wouldn't need anyone to edit it. It's really not that hard to read.

^ Traumatised him? PLEASE. The guy was an attention-seeking little twat of a drama queen. Agreed. I have no problems with someone saying, "Hey, I'd like a little credit here." He took it way too far. Threatening to withhold numbers because he didn't get acknowledged reeks of it. Either post it or don't, but don't make such a big fuss about it.

Aside from the fact that plenty of people did thank him every time he posted the #s, there is such a thing as a silent thank you. I certainly enjoy looking at the numbers, but since I've already thanked him in previous threads I don't feel a need to make a new post just to do so unless I have other commentary to make regarding the chart movements. I'd imagine many, many others are the same way. Look at the sans recurrent rule charts Whistlin Pete posts each week. Do those get lots of replies? No. Heck, a lot of the time no one responds at all. But obviously people appreciate that he takes the time to compile those; otherwise the threads wouldn't consistently get 70+ views.

He wouldn't understand the silent Thank Yous because those are subtle and this guy didn't understand subtely. I'm pretty sure he's the dude who discussed f**king an uncle. That's something that you need to be subtle about (though it shouldn't be done EVER).

I post the Billboard charts for AC Pop and Hot AC, and rarely do they ever receive replies except usually the AC thread. But I do know people do read and use them based on the views.

Same deal with the weekly AT40 threads in the Hot AC forum as well as the Canadian Hot 100 charts. No matter how many times I've posted them each week, I don't get any replies on most weeks. But I am aware that there are posters on this board who look at them given the viewing figures. That to me is humbling enough and I acknowledge the replies and credit wherever it's due.
