Because they upped the price to $12.95 a month. Fuck them. The quality sucks anyway. And I dont want to hear baseball games so why should I have to pay more?

The pricing is a bit high. I have heard some of the XM stations. They're okay.
I think the prices will keep going up. :(

It's stupid that XM would air baseball games when you could get it like I do on mlb.com

If all these people subscribing to XM radio just for the baseball games found out, they would discontinue the service so quickly.

can you listen to mlb.com while you're driving?
I loved xm. Thought the stations were great and would definitely not have a problem paying the extra few bucks a month. The decade stations play songs that aren't the typical songs you always hear associated with that decade. Things like that I love. Fred, Lucy, and Suite 62 are fantastic:)

Paying the extra 3 dollars a month for now on isn't really too much of a problem if you ask me. I have the SkiFi2, and I must say, definitely the best purchase I have made in a while on anything, I'd do anything for the handheld device but waht are you gonna do. The good thing is, the raised price now includes internet streaming and Opie and Anthony, which is rediculous as Howard Stern, but it's good. My friend had Sirius, and it does not pick up as good as reception, and the stations come nowhere near to the variety that someone in the 18-40-something age group would want.

I signed up for a 2-year plan, so I'm actually paying less than the 9.99 a month I was paying originally.
MLB.com is not an option for people who don't have easy access to the internet. It makes perfect sense that XM would offer baseball.

I'm very late on this but I just read in the Radio Shack ad that XM is commercial free just like Music Choice. Are they jockless too?

Because they upped the price to $12.95 a month. f**k them. The quality sucks anyway. And I dont want to hear baseball games so why should I have to pay more? El Cheapo. I'm still planning on getting XM satellite. I want the portable kind so I can walk around and listen to it. I did see a portable unit in Circuit City, but it was over $300. There's a much less expensive one at a shade under a $100, so I'll most likely get that one. It may be up to two months before I get it, unless I can find one on sale or on the Internet and get it sooner.

It's stupid that XM would air baseball games when you could get it like I do on mlb.com The baseball games are exactly the reason why I'm getting the XM soon. My immidiate thought after this was that you can't listen to mlb.com in the car as well.

Will XM have a package for the NFL or NCAA like they do for MLB? If they do, that'll solidify my want for it even more.

NCAA football and basketball games are split by conference between the two services. XM has the Big 10, Pac 10, and ACC. I'm not sure which conferences Sirius has.

The NFL belongs to Sirius (includes broadcasts from both the home and road team's flagship stations) as well as some NCAA (I heard March Madness games on Sirius).

If Sirius isn't available in Hawaii, what about XM?

If Sirius isn't available in Hawaii, what about XM? I've heard that Sirius can be received in Hawaii, but XM is a no-show.

Why would the NFL sign with Sirius if XM has almost 3x the amount of subcribers?

If Sirius isn't available in Hawaii, what about XM? I've heard that Sirius can be received in Hawaii, but XM is a no-show. It would suck if it wasn't available in Hawaii, Alaska, and some US commonwealths, but I'd understand why it wouldn't be in the commonwealths.
