I wanted to know from owners if satellite radio is everything they expected it to be, or is just an overrated new technology? What are the goods and bads to it? It seems many are jumping on to the bandwagon, not realizing that the costs are a lot higher than expected.
Anybody have any info that could make mine or anybody elses decision more clear about both services?

I have Sirius, and it has been totally worth it.
I went with the yearly-plan, so I bought the equipment and paid up front for one year of service, so I wouldn't have to pay monthly (I don't need another monthly bill!).
The variety of music and talk radio is amazing.
What exactly are you looking for?

I have XM and it's definetly worth it. Even with the price going up to 12.99 it's still worth it. I was locked in to 9.99 until May 20th so this is the first month of the price change for me. We don't have an ESPN affiliate where I live so that's one of the biggest selling points for me as well as the other sports stations. The talk radio is excellent as well. Opie and Anthony have become the most listened to program on my XM. I haven't listened to commercial radio since I got it especially since 107.7 The X left Birmingham, leaving Northeast Alabama with no Alternative music stations.
