Dear Casey,
As a child growing up in Ohio, my friends dreamed of being a fireman, a lawyer, or building a spaceship to fly to the Moon. My dream was a bit different. You see, I read every book available on Magic & Harry Houdini. My Mother and Aunt gave me magic kids for special occasions, and my father helped me learn the stunts & built my props. Harry Houdini faced the universal fear of being buried alive. Locked in shackles, he was lowered into a grave and covered in dirt. He escaped alive, but he couldn't escape death. He died on Halloween day in 1926. Casey, I've dreamed of doing Houdini's buried-alive stunt since I was 11 years old, and I preparing to attempt the very same feat on Halloween. So Casey, could you please play "Do You Believe in Magic" for my hero? Thank you Houdini, wherever you are. I've always believed in magic. I've always believed in you.
