Why is Run it still on????? GO AWAY! Go away, indeed. Throughout the month of June, the song has dropped 27-28-29-30. I don't think we'll be getting rid of it any time soon.

No, blame it on the non-recurrent rule.

No, blame it on the non-recurrent rule.
There wouldn't need to be a recurrent rule if radio would drop songs after they are no longer currents. So blame radio. A recurrent rule doesn't stop these songs from being played by radio.

Was that AT40 where Ryan Seacrest told some guy he was on top of his HUMP ISLAND? I heard that on Kid Kraddick in the morning.

On the radio show, Kid Kraddick in the morning, he mentioned Ryan Seacret was interviewing Vince Vaughn and Ryan said to him that he's on the top of his hump island? I dunno prob a list of guys he wants to fuck. I guess Nick Lachey is no longer #1.

Blame it on the pop stations that insist on playing the same tired songs six months after they've burned out. That's why I do not listen to CHR radio anymore including Rhythmic B96, the station plays good music but it's a high burnout format. If I listen to the radio it'll be Active Rock 93X with one of the reasons being they play much more of a variety.

The weekend remix shows are worth a listen. OTH, who wants to be home on Friday & Saturday nights.

(Sorry, but I wish they had stayed a CHR/Pop format, but that wasn't to be. They switched over to CHR/Rhythmic before that format was even officially "born".) In the early-90s, their rival CHR station Z95 changed to a Rhythmic format in effort to dethrone B96, but it backfired on them big time. Oh well, at least we still have Kiss 103.5 (and, for those who live in northern Indiana, U93 in South Bend)

God AT 40 takes FOOORRREEEVVVVEERRRR to get rid of some of their songs....I remember how long Hollaback Girl stayed on their charts...geez. AT40 isn't the only show doing that. "Beverly Hills" was on Rick Dees' show for 40-some weeks. And even with a recurrent rule, "You & Me" was on AT20 for something like 68 weeks. Like someone else mentioned , it's the fault of the radio stations.

God AT 40 takes FOOORRREEEVVVVEERRRR to get rid of some of their songs....I remember how long Hollaback Girl stayed on their charts...geez. "Hollaback Girl"? What about "Here Without You" and "Scars"? Those songs were on for 50 weeks, which dwarfs the 32-week duration of "Hollaback Girl". Plus, there have been other songs that have been on for 40-some weeks (I remember "Since U Been Gone" staying on for something like 46-weeks), as well as some songs approaching 40 weeks (we just finally said goodbye (if not good riddance!) to two songs that were on for 38 weeks.) However, it did seem like "Hollaback Girl" stayed on for an unusually long time since it outlasted "Cool", which stayed on for 18 weeks. Or maybe you were one of many who found "Hollaback Girl" extremely annoying. I'm surprised I liked it as well as I did because I usually find songs like that annoying as well. Maybe I just liked the bridge, where they were talking about bananas at the end. Why that is, I don't know, seeing as I don't like bananas...

At the end of the show this week, Ryan made an incredible statement that in one week Hips Don't Lie was played 15,221 times, making it the most played song in pop radio history. It knocked out Hollaback Girl with 9,582 spins. Huh??

It just seems like 15,221 is awfully high for Media Base monitored stations. I know iit's not exactly the same as the R&R pop panel, and, maybe I'm wrong, but I wonder if it's right.

Based on the BDS articles that have been posted on the boards (as well as the Mediabase CHR/Pop charts), I can't see how Shakira shattered the record that much on just pop radio (as Ryan claimed).
