This has got to be one of the most overplayed songs of the 1980s, especially on AC stations. "Love Will Lead You Back" is worlds better.

Def. on my top five for Taylor songs. Also agree about her being underrated, her vocals always amaze me the shit out of me anytime I listen to her (esp. her slower cuts).

Not one of my favorites by her but I do like it. It was her biggest hit on Billboard's R&B chart too, peaking at #21.

This might be my favorite of her singles. I remember really liking it back in 1988, too (around the time I got back into music after a few years when my attention was diverted elsewhere).

I'm amazed this only hit #21 on r & b. I remember this being played as a young tyke profusely on urban radio! :O

Its individual R&B peaks were No. 15 sales and No. 17 airplay; it may have reached those peaks in different weeks. The single had a strong run, though, with 22 total weeks on the chart.

I liked this, though as far as her ballads go, I do prefer "Love Will Lead You Back".

Excellent. Her vocal is so good. And what's funny, I usually don't like singers that are so overly tonal, but for some reason I just love her voice. And it always makes her songs super fun to sing along to.
