I just realized there are no nostalgia topics for Richard Marx. "Satisfied" was the lead single from 1989's Repeat Offender. It became his first of two CHR/Pop #1's and his third and final Hot 100 #1. I used to love his ballads, but over time this upbeat hit became my favorite of his. It's a really lighthearted song. It kind of reminds me of George Michael. Hot 100: #1 (1 week) Mainstream Rock: #5 CHR/Pop: #1 (2 weeks)

I like this song, but for some reason I like the verses a lot more than the chorus. It has nothing to do with the lyrics, just musically the chorus doesn't sound right to me.

Richard Marx has a bunch of good, but not great songs, this being one of them.
I think his pretty boy image hurt him get credibility back then, but the guy is a great songwriter.

Satisfied was my #4 fave. RM song after RHW, ESN and TTH. He is a very good singer - pity he's slipped drastically in popularity.
More than his "pretty boy" image, I've heard it was his "I'm-All-That" attitude that eventually did him in. Seems he's humbled himself alot now and is writing hit songs for others.

It rocked, but not as much as other songs.

I actually have not heard this song.

LOL, I didn't even catch that at first. Yes, "Satisfied" was the second of his three Hot 100 #1's.

This was my favorite of Richard Marx's uptempo songs. Truthfully, however, I liked most of his songs (though I wasn't much for "Right Here Waiting). I also liked his song from repeat offender called "Angelia" (I actually might like that a little better than "Satisfied", but it is debatable whether the song is uptempo or a ballad). I think that "Children Of The Night" would be my favorite song by him. All of these songs take me back to my senior year in high school, one of the best.

Not really a Marx fan, but I kinda like "Endless Summer Nights".

Despite it being a chart topper, it's been rather obscure on the radio since 1990. AC has given him a Manilow like stigma for excelling at ballads but Richard knew his way around a rock tune too. (E.g. Too Late To Say Goodbye)

Not my AC. They spin "Right Here Waiting" quite often and just today, they played "Endless Summer Nights".

Yes, I definitely hear Right Here Waiting, Endless Summer Nights, and Hold On To The Nights all the time on AC in NY. His upbeat hits? Never hear them. (shame...)

Another fun upbeat track from him. "Endless Summer Nights" is still my favorite of his similar tracks, but this is good.
