Their first hit single and best song IMHO... still like to play it quite a bit... it reached #19 in R&R back in 1991...

I believe this song hit the Top Ten in Gavin Magazine. The Top 40 reporting panel for that publication must have consisted of more rock-based Top 40 stations than hip-hop, as that type of song tended to chart lower (and BTW, "Iesha" by Another Bad Creation, from the same time of year, did not chart there at all). Strangely enough, however, Firehouse's next single, "Love Of A Lifetime" peaked at #11 on Gavin's Top 40 chart, despite hitting the Top Ten in R&R. Maybe the fact that it was a ballad might have had something to do with it.
Anyway, I liked "Don't Treat Me Bad". It was a Top Ten song on my personal Top 40 chart in the late spring of 1991.

I love FIREHOUSE and I do have their debut album, I remember the video too but my favorite was "Love of a Lifetime" and that one reached number 5 on the Hot 100 and became their highest charting single.

I forgot about it, but I remember enjoying this tune at the time.

This song still makes me happy happy youtube.com/watch?v=oY0dVF9LoZwI loved Firehouse, i could care less that they were riding the coattails of the hair metal. Their ballads are among some of the best of the genre. They also do a pretty kick ass version of 7 Bridges Road.

Good song! I prefer their ballads like "Love Of A Lifetime" and "When I Look Into Your Eyes" though. LMAO, I almost typed "When You Look Me In The Eyes". The Jonas Brothers must've done something to my mind that I think of their song before Firehouse's of similar title.

I actually don't like this. I like "All She Wrote" though.
